Trump's tweet back in May said, "The Russia-Trump collusion story is a total hoax, when will this taxpayer funded charade end?"

But Trump’s own Justice Department has concluded otherwise. A 37-page federal indictment released Friday afternoon spells out in exhaustive detail a three-year Russian plot to disrupt America’s democracy and boost Trump’s campaign, dealing a fatal blow to one of the president’s favorite talking points.

Trump’s Russia ‘hoax’ turns out to be real

but neither Trump nor his minions will ever admit that he opposed the Russian investigation and that the facts showed that he was wrong. Now what, Mr. President?

 Does actual truth matter to anyone anymore? This does not establish Trump-Russia collusion.

Trump is a bully. Trump is a jerk. Trump is an awful, childish person. Trump is often ill-informed and self-contradictory. Trump is an embarrassment.

But this does not show he and his campaign colluded with the Russians.

If you want to be on the side of right, be on that side. But that side involves truth. If you don't care about the truth, how are you right?

Agreed.

Agreed again. We're on a roll.

But this does not show he and his campaign colluded with the Russians.

Nope. Just that he didn't want the issue investigated.

If you want to be on the side of right, be on that side. But that side involves truth. If you don't care about the truth, how are you right?

I'm all for truth and right. What do you think is the truth of why Trump didn't want the Russian investigation to go forward? Was he right?

Bottom line: Trump will keep moving the goal posts every time a new member of his campaign is hung out to dry. He is now light years away from Russia is a hoax and nobody in his administration had any contact with Russians.

And even when Jr and the rest are indicted , Trump will maintain that he himself is innocent of any wrong doing. And if he has to throw every single one of them under the bus - he will do it and proudly proclaim he was right all along that they had nothing on him.

Exactly, and his past positions will change... oh, do you suppose he believes in the mutability of the past?

Trump believes in anything that he believes is good today for Trump. Beyond that, he believes in nothing.

Agreed.

You said that this tweet:

Trump's tweet back in May said, "The Russia-Trump collusion story is a total hoax, when will this taxpayer funded charade end?"

Was wrong:

but neither Trump nor his minions will ever admit that he opposed the Russian investigation and that the facts showed that he was wrong. Now what, Mr. President?

It's the premise of your OP. Your thread title is:

The Russia-Trump collusion story is a total hoax, when will this taxpayer funded charade end

Your thread was all about the collusion, and what he said about the collusion being wrong. It as of yet has not been shown to be wrong.

You said that this tweet:

Your thread was all about the collusion, and what he said about the collusion being wrong.

You're the only one who said anything about collusion.

I wonder why it is that Trump and his minions keep using that word, when the real issue is obstruction of justice?

Trumpanzies don't want any of that pesky truth getting in the way of their brainless cult worship of their leader.

Are you kidding me?

Are you seriously saying that "collusion" is something Trump supporters just pulled out of thin air?

Probably because he's in it up to his eyeballs. If he's innocent and pure as the driven snow with this Russia thing, then he is doing the worst impression of innocent that I've ever seen.

Trump really doesn't fit into the usual molds.
At the end of the day, what he appears like to you is of no consequence. It's what Mueller will or won't find.
Hopefully, we'll know soon.

I disagree with the second part, but agree with the rest.

You think if someone doesn't conform to you idea of having normal reactions or behaviors means that they are guilty of something? Really?

Wow. That's some magical thinking. But, it highlights a big difference between the Left and Right, mainly, the former acts on emotion and the latter, on facts.

Not really. No innocent person acts like this.

He didn't say the Russians weren't meddling. He has only said that there was no collusion between himself and his campaign and Russian meddling. The indictment was very clear that he was quite correct in that.

The intellectually honest distinguish between Russian meddling and collusion with the Russians in the meddling.

Sadly, the left will have to come up with something else to accuse the President I guess. They got a hell of a lot of mileage out of the Russian collusion thing that didn't exist. How creative do you think they will be in the something else?

Just because charges were not filed in this batch of indictments does not mean they are not still coming.

Donald trump stating that there is no collusion is as credible as nixon saying he is not a crook.

Now that I think of it trump couldn't say that phrase under oath either...

Anyone who believes these Russian indictments signal the end of the Mueller Russia-collusion investigation is ... delusional.

Probably because he's in it up to his eyeballs. If he's innocent and pure as the driven snow with this Russia thing, then he is doing the worst impression of innocent that I've ever seen.

Yet the indictment pretty well confirms that he and his campaign are innocent in the whole Russian collusion conspiracy theory.

The honest truth is that the Russian collusion story was all about getting rid of Trump. Nobody seemed to give a tinker's dam whether Russian meddled in the election. They wanted to get Trump. That was the sole focus of the media, of the anti-Trump people on social media and message boards, period.

And some aren't willing to let go of that conspiracy theory yet despite Mueller's findings. It is no accident that he specifically mentioned in the indictment that President Trump and/or his campaign was not implicated in any fault of any kind in any way re that indictment. He knew what some would be saying if he didn't emphasize that.

President Trump is not a poll tested, scripted, polished politician. He says what is on his mind, sometimes to his detriment because of the ridiculous spin those who hate him will put on that. If he had said nothing about the investigation into his campaign he would have been accused of acting guilty. When he declared his innocence and protested the investigation as a 'witch hunt', he was accused of acting guilty. When haters want something to be true, they don't care whether it is or not. They will insist that it is true.

Probably the Trump collusion story will morph into the magnitude of the 9/11 government misconduct theory or who shot JFK. It is a sad commentary on America.

There's no way you can know that until Mueller is done with his investigation. Could be true.
Of course he could say it under oath.

I also believe that the Trump/Russia narrative was initiated by Hillary's camp to delegitimize his win and sow discord in America. She was to be coronated, remember.
Totally agree Rosenstein punched the line about no Americans involved was a direct hit at the wishful conspiracy theorists.
Trump can do no right in the eyes of his haters. I actually think it's funny watching them set their hair on fire with everything he says and does.

I disagree. The investigation has not concluded. What has happened, though, is that foreign interference has been established. What's left to do is to follow the money and to see what's going on up top.

I think President Trump will be exonerated despite the best efforts of those who don't care how much chaos is created with baseless accusations.
