He has repeatedly said that there was no collusion between him or his campaign with Russia in order to influence the election. Both Mueller and Rosenstein affirmed this.

On that we agree: Everything is about him. His state of the union had more listeners than any other. He really won the popular vote except for those millions of illegal voters. His inauguration had record attendance. He's the greatest. No one illegally helped him get elected, so just don't even look there!

Well, that's possible.

If he would lie about being under investigation, then call the investigation a witch hunt because the FBI was trying to tie him to the Russian meddling, then he must also have been practicing doublethink.

But, then, that's quite possible too.

On that issue, we're in agreement.

So, we can't count on anything he says. All we can do is look at his actions and extrapolate to determine what he really believes, right?

Agreed again. What Trump believes is irrelevant to the facts of the investigation. Best to take what is known and wait and see what else might come to light.
