Melania's and Ivanka's silence on abuse is quite unusual.

Usually, a FLOTUS and a "pseudo" FLOTUS (in Ivanka's case) will weigh in publicly with a situation that has garnerd as much attention as the Porter case. This time, especially given that this is a women's issue, they remain curiously silent.

I can understand that given Trump's past history of abuse related complaints, they may not feel comfortable speaking publicly, but I have yet to see an "Official" press release addressing the subject of spouse abuse from either one.

If anyone has seen one, please post a link.

Do you think Donald privately told them to STFU?

How about you prove your claim first. I don't believe it's unusual.

I think that the link to the "novice" forum is at the bottom of the main page.

That said, you "Trumplusters" really do tickle me.:) You "geniuses" must have some type of alarm button on your computers that alarms every time the someone posts something that isn't flattering to Trump. I just hope that when he does "crash and burn", that you seek some type of counseling. You're going to need it.

I'm progressive on social issues. I'm an environmentalist. You'll call anyone that asks you to prove something a "Trumpwhatever". :lamo

Both Ivanks and Melania must be embarrased beyong belief. I guess that could be enterpreted as being a "plausible" excuse for not commenting on such an important discussion. The sad part is that when TWO prominet White House figures have to remain noticeably "silent" about an important issue like spouse abuse - because their father and husband respectively -has such a negative track record himself, that speaks volumes as to how far we have sunk by both electing and accepting somebody like Trump for what used to be a very well respected office.

It is a lose-lose situation for them. They would be lambasted as hypocrites for supporting their father/husband. But if they don’t come out they will be criticized for their silence.

An educated "student" of politics would have such a knowledge of how past First Ladies have responded to such issues that your "dumb question" would have never been asked in the first place. As I have said repeated times, I don't do "politics 101".

So you have no support for your claim, it's just a prop for BS. Good work.

Eco could be described as many things....but being a Trump supporter is most definitely not one of them.

I see your point, but I still feel as though remaining silent is the worst of the two bad choices. Even the "dry" response that trump gave at the conclusion of his Oval Office Tim Scott photo-op was better than continuing to remain silent.

No, not really unusual........

They deserve both-plus.

The "many things" would include checking off more than one of course. Not that I would check 'em all.

It's a favorite to demand a citation of the obvious. It's also idle, glib and vacuous thx for your post. I don't focus on any one poster or exclusively. It's also true Al Bundy wuz funny while The Ignoramus Wild Man Trump is not. Where's Peg when we need her. It's only now I realize Kelly would have been the better Flotus. Bud begins to look normal too.

Yup. With past Presidents of either political party, **** like this was a non-issue.

The script just does not seem to hold like it used to now does it...

Maybe there is a reason other than Trumps suckage.

Not hardly. We just don't support witch hunts. If and when there is real proof and charges are filed I believe in the law. It is the left that needs counseling. They still have not got over Trump beat Hillary and the Russians exposed the corruption in their party.

More like "expensive" ;)

More than that...all indications are that Trump finally met his female half when he met Melania...this is one woman who can and does stand up to him....and make it all worth the trouble.

There's another one popping up worth $130,000.

And she sez now she's gonna say.

Value just ain't what it used to be, if it ever wuz.

How about we wait and see what Mueller says.:) And btw, there is no "witchhunt". Trump has made more than enough screwups to warrant this investigation. Unless of course you are stupid enough to believe the "Russian adoption" bull**** story. Then, all bets are off.

No need to provide "support" for what most folks already know. If you understood anything about the topic, then you wouldn't again be referencing your original "dumb question".

Now, I can't provide you proof that atoms are everywhere around you, but most of us understand that they are indeed there.........:)
