The director of the FBI says the whole of Chinese society is a threat to the US — and Americans must step up as a society to defend themselves

The FBI director says Chinese society as a whole is a threat to the US - BI

FBI director Christopher Wray issued a dire warning against China's growing influence during a Senate intelligence hearing on Tuesday.

He cited the variety of ways that China is implementing its plan to replace the US as the foremost global power, including infiltrating American academia.

China's Confucius Institutes are ostensibly language learning centers, but often serve as vehicles for Chinese propaganda at universities around the world, including the US.

Intelligence experts also cited Chinese cybersecurity threats as a major concern in 2018.

American academics are naive as to the threat posed by the "openness" of research in academia. They don't share our Occidental views. With China it is a one way street. The Chinese view of knowledge is that it exists to be used, guarded, and exploited, not shared.

China's geopolitical attitude is "My area of operations, and Our area of operations", "My markets, Our markets". There is no western concept of sharing, at least only until they can dominate.

It's time to wake up.

It is the most dangerous country in the world. I've been saying this ever since I've joined this site. China.... not the middle east, not Russia, not North Korea... has the potential of the most damage and has already arguably caused the most damage to this country out of any of them... economically at least

The danger pssed by China has been created by a fraudulent economic policy manifested by the USA. The USA has third World indebtedness. We're deep in an economic hele. Bad policies. We have $20 trillion of direct debt and growing and perhaps $200 trillion of unfunded liabillities. We're not going to grow out of that. We cannot manipulate the RND/yuan like the YEN and EURO. For example we allwoed Japan to do trillions of yen of QE to debase the currency value and drop the YEN. We allowed EU to do trillions of Euros of QE to bebase the currency value and drop the Euro. In both cases the increased indebtedness debased the currency value. The USA did about $6 or 8 trillion of QE and the value of the USDollar increased. That would suggest manipulation. The USA uses its fiat currency and banking tools as a weapon against Nations other than Japan and the EU. These tools used against China, Russia, Venezuela, Iran, etc. have created an antagonistic economy bloc working to create an alternative World currency and banking tools. That is the threat that China represents. The solvent Nations are attempting to create tools to give them proportional power without wrecking the current system. The USA keeps going further in debt to try to prevent the alternative economic power bloc. It doesn't require rocket science to know that "one can't borrow their way out of debt." The huge indebtedness of the World's Reserve Currency, a/k/a, the USDollar is what causes the danger from China. Nations holding USTreasuries' last year lost about 18% of their value and the drop continues. Nest year the USA nees to borrow a Trillion Dollars with US Treasury bonds and do you think the Nations that lost 18% on thsoe bonds last year will be interested. That would be China as a large holder of US Treasury Bonds in the past. Does the simplicity of the math work as a clarion call to the USA? Is China a threat? Yes. They may not loan us any more money.

Inside the Ring: Russia, China undermining U.S. - Washington Times
Russia and China are actively attempting to undermine the USA through strategic and long term goals.

“Russia and China now cooperate and coordinate to an unprecedented degree–politically, militarily, economically–and their cooperation, almost without deviation, carries anti-American and anti-Western ramifications. Russia, China, and a constellation of satellite states seek to undermine American power, dislodge America from its leading position in the world, and establish a new anti-Western global power structure. And both Russia in Eastern and Central Europe and China throughout Asia are becoming increasingly aggressive and assertive, even hegemonic, in the absence of a systemic U.S. response–not-withstanding the Obama administration’s ‘strategic pivot to Asia.'”

The Chinese government is constantly trying to steal patented technology in development in pristine high tech united states businesses, universities and government...
https://geneticliteracyproject.org/2...curity-threat/
One example is hiring spies to steal GMO seeds that are products of years and years of research costing billions of dollars.

The Chinese government is constantly trying to hack into American businesses to steal sensitive information and valuable research, and they are among the most power hackers in the world with the Chinese Government bankroll.

“Russia and China are the world’s leading practitioners of cyber warfare. They work overtime to sabotage and subvert military, economic, and infrastructure assets of nations they view as adversaries–and to loot their systems of military intelligence, diplomatic information, and corporate trade secrets. The Russians have brought down the technology infrastructure of Georgia and Estonia; Chinese hackers affiliated with the Army of the People’s Republic have infamously been identified as the culprits in massive attacks on U.S. banking, security, infrastructure, and even military systems.”-from the book above

The Chinese Government implements heavy tariffs and outright bans on US good coming into their country. They support a mercantilism strategy and are attempting to but assets all around the world in order to exceed economic pressure against the United States... often at their own people's expense. Not only that, but they censor their population against outside influence in order to maintain control of the conversation in their own country.

They constantly test the resolve of the U.S. and it's border countries on land grabbing and territorial aggression. India, south china sea, Japanese islands, Taiwan... China is constantly testing their boundaries for weaknesses. China Vows to stop Taiwanese independence http://www.thestandard.com.hk/breaki...s.php?id=74989

Sounds like the Chinese are doing business in exactly the same methods as USA and USA Corporations. That's Corporatism/fascism when the gov't operates in concert with its' Corporations according to Mussolini. Has it ocurred to you that China is trapped in a USDollar economy that puts great faith in the USDollar. Key word "FAITH/CONFIDENCE." The USA weaponizes its' banking practices with "sanctions." The US is the pre-eminent debtor Nation on this Planet. The USA doesn't pay its' debt, just the interest. OTOH, the Chinese have a huge budget surplus. They would prefer a World Reserve Currency with intrinsic backing instead of a Fiat currency. That fiat currency is "money because we say it is." Confidence, don't ya' know?

I disagree with your first sentence... The USA and it's Corporations do NOT do to any sort of similar degree a lot of what the Chinese government and businesses do. And please... China does their own currency, wage and tariff manipulations. The U.S.A. does not have the centralized power China does, it's a dog eat dog world in the US business environment... surely you are correct that there is a lot of corporate manipulation and fascism, but it's highly unorganized and unstable.

I mostly agree with everything else

I appreciate the reply. What do you consider the Petrodollar, if not manipulation? That is control of energy markets. Economic sanctions are Banking manipulation. Western Reserve Banks work together to effect control. SWIFT, IMF, Wolrd Bank, etc. are all collusive to manipulate and most certainly represent organized centralized power.

Aren't USA business interests an economic threat to other countries?

No, its our own stupidity and ego that is our greatest threat. Our system where the rich control the politicians and can rob the country. Where they push for wars across the world so they can make billions off of new weapons (all these US wars, who has China invaded?) Where we spend tons of money bombing people across the world, but can't provide healthcare, college or job training, and fund research (which China is kicking our ass in this department) that is what made us the such a powerful country. And we have such a large population of people so brainwashed they bend over and take it happily, then blame the other side for the problems that follow.

Until we get money out of campaign finance (stupid SCOTUS couldn't even protect us, even they are in favor of corporations over people), and people stop watching Fox news and other bull****, we are doomed. And rightfully so, our country has been such assholes for far too long

Are you an American? Granted...we should be growing our own economy and getting less involved elsewhere. But that’s a whole new topic

If you read my post you would see they are guilty of far more than just simple economy success in comparison to us.

They intentionally hack and steal our technology. Infiltrating our universities, military, genetic crops... everything

Born in NJ, grew up in Texas, matured in US Navy, does that count?;)

Yes. Then it would be acceptable for you to put America before other nations. It certainly should be what our government does. ;)

If only our politicians would put Americans before their own self interests...
