Pence squabbling with the gay figure skater and the show of Korean unification are probably the two things I know most about regarding this year's Olympics. In fact, I know virtually nothing about the games except that we have a skinny blond female figure skater with horse teeth.

The gay guy and Pence is pretty funny though. Pence is all "fake news" about one report and the skater, Adam Something or Other, is telling the gay bashing VP to go fly a kite. Good stuff.

The Korean thing? Meh. Probably not a bad thing, but no big deal unless we see real unity. And, we won't see that until the Kim family drops off the face of the earth.

A cardboard cut-out would have done better..............he's been instructed to leave if anyone kneels.

Can't blame Adam in the least! Good for him.

I read this morning that Kim whatever invited the SK president to visit NK to 'talk'. I wouldn't trust NK for anything. It's just too weird how super friendly NK is being right now. Probably to say "See, we are friendly people, not like what the US says about us"

I feel a little bit out of touch with the Olympics this year. I'm very mad at the Olympic committee in the treatment of their athletes, particularly the USA gymnastics team. They dropped the ball big time, and the Gymnastics board resigning is only the tip of the iceberg. The games have been able to keep their scandals in check because people looked the other way, I think it's harder for some people this year to look away. As you watch these athletes (especially the young girls) you can't help but wonder what else is going on.

I've pretty much stopped following the sport's side of the Olympics. It faded long before the gymnastics scandal, but the long term, systemic abuse of our female gymnasts has certainly been part of the equation. Except for the sex stuff, the abuse was pretty evident over the years--I'm talking about physical and psychological abuse of female athletes as young as 10 and 11.

Totally uncalled for crap that detracts from anything you might say after.

Weak sauce. Weak.

I figured someone would get triggered over that.

Shaun White won gold, but then dragged the US flag on the ground as he walked away from the event. I think he'll hear about that.

So the fake Kim Jong Un parades himself in front of the North Korean cheerleaders who are obviously not impressed :D
I think this guy is awesome, they have no right to boot him out
