Resistance to Trump is Eroding

lol...so much for those "conservative" principles. :lamo

For instance, if you wish to go straight but the way is blocked by a mountain, you go around the mountain. If that way is blocked, you go over the mountain. It costs you extra but the end justifies the means.

I have been hearing this from all corners of the political spectrum but I am not sold. I think that a lot of people are doing their best to be patient for THE HATCHET MAN to finally get the job done and a lot of people are putting their energy into the next election because enough people have figured out that the votes matter...the coming of Trump taught a whole new class that.....I think that a lot of people of all shades are occupied trying to work on change at the local and state level.....I dont know that anything has changed in the resistance level to Trump on either the left or the right.

we need a divided government, especially when the president is a dangerous, childish fool.

the Democratic party can't seem to find its ass with a Rand McNally map and a searchlight. if they pull off a victory, i'll be at least slightly surprised. however, they'd better do well in 2018 and 2020. otherwise, the Republicans will gerrymander the entire US so thoroughly that a 100 percent dem turnout will yield ten percent of the state and federal seats. it's too much to hope for, i suppose, that Democrats will even bother to come up with a message other than "Trump sucks." however, any port in a storm, i suppose.
I agree at the current moment dems cant find their ass, its seems imho that they are stuck on the liberal left and its alienating good ideas, generally speaking when one party is in office they opposing party has to go more central to gain momentum back. Currently the dems refuse to move more moderatly. I dont see it happening in 2018 but it will come soon at the latest 2020, even if The Don gets reelected he will be working with a democratic house and senate and man the sparks will fly.
Resist is a horrible message that only leads to more polorization in our politics, the republican did it and it has not been good for our society so i dont wish to see it continue. The current two biggest issues that i cant seem to find any good messages on for the dem party is the growing hatred towards immigration. This seems to be only talked about in republican circles and the dems are alienating themselves on the topic. Secondly supply side economics, this has been the republican staple for 40 years and almost every economist agrees its suppior to demand side economics. All I here from dems is demand side arguements. I agree with safety nets and social programs but not economics of spending. If the dems dont straighten out an arguement that at least isnt off putting for most the country you'll The Don continue making his mark on this country.

you'd think that by this point they'd at least have a bumper sticker message. FFS, we know what you don't want. give us something to vote for.

either way, the Trump thing is so nuts that there's really only one choice left. i suppose that we'll see how that works out for the opposition.

All of their social slights are imagined. Not to mention most Americans couldn't give two spits about it.

Nah...I wouldn't say all of them are imagined. Just that most of them are such piddly little things that most adults don't even waste their time giving a second thought. However, there are a few bigger things that still need to be worked on. It's just that none of them have the emotional IQ to differentiate between what is more serious and what is not. It all looks the same to them.
