Surprise, surprise, Trump won't release Dems rebuttal mem0!

Apparently Trump didn't care with the Nunes memo, since he had no one look at it and neither did Nunes. The Dems had the FBI and intelligence agencies look at theirs.

The process dictates the White House reviews submissions for declassification.
The White House reviewed the Nunes memo. That's fairly certain.

Now that the Nunes memo was released, there wasn't anything in it that was either Earth-shattering nor compromising of national security.

Since we don't know the contents of the Dem's memo, we can't make those same assumptions, now can we?

Apparently Trump promised to realese the Nunes Memo unseen even before it was presented to the Whitehouse. We have no proof that it was eve examined by anyone on the Whitehouse and would it had mattered as Trump had already promised it to go out nonredacted.

Just announced by Trump's lawyer that Trump won't release Dems rebuttal memo. I guess it is no surprise. Trump did say that they could try again, I guess with a memo that doesn't rebut any of Nune's talking points.

That's not exactly the case. The WH had the DoJ and FBI look at the memo and make recommendations regarding whether there should be any redactions. The memo was sent back to HPSCI with problem areas noted and a request for changes was made.

Time for Democrats to release the memo as GOPs released their's to the fixed trump news ...

Well, I would think, they would need to make redactions first, due to the information and processes they inserted into it. Trump sent it back to committee, so they're going to have to be the ones to decide that, if at all, any redactions should be made.

And you know this for a certainty how, exactly?

Because it's Trump's pattern. He's not going to willingly release something that doesn't "vindicate" him. Honestly that's any politician (which he is).

The fact that you take his word at face says more about you than anything else.

That's quite a claim. Citation?

I'll go as far to say that I haven't looked for proof that the White House did, or did not, review the Nunes memo before releasing it to the public.
As the congress and the White House were both observant of the required procedures, it would seem reasonable that the Nunes memo was in fact reviewed by the appropriate people / staffs in the White House.

So you just assuming, and assuming the worst.

My post above it clear, I'm not taking Trump at his word, I'm taking what's been reported, and the compliance to the proper process / procedures.

It looks like the Whitehouse had their lawyers look at it, not anyone from the FBI or the intelligence agencies. Gee, I wonder why they found nothing wrong with the Nunes Memo. that doesn't surprise me at all, even though the FBI and the intelligence agencies did.

Not surprised since the Dems loaded it up with classified material. Almost feels like a set up, them knowing full well it couldn't be released as is.

What Republicans on the committee voted not to release that memo citing classified info as the reason?

Looks like none did:

The assertion in your post is exactly what Trump is saying. None of this is surprising to me at all, except maybe that the full committee voted to release the dems memo.

OK.

The FBI is already on record for wanting to suppress the entire memo from the public. When told the memo was going to be released anyway, the FBI then tried to demand that all the names be redacted (which tells you why they wanted it suppressed to begin with).

Sorry, but that's such a crappy response that it doesn't count, this protecting the guilty garbage.
