How should the media/press react to Trump's lies?

Okay, we know that Trump tells lies. I read an article that Trump had told over 2,000 lies in his first year. My question is how do you think that the media/press should react to those lies? Should they continue to remark on at least the major ones? Should they start to ignore all of them seeing them as the new normal? Is the media/press overreacting to all the lies? Are many of them not lies but exaggerations of the truth Trump uses to build himself up in the eyes of his followers?

Trump on the other hand does it deliberately, often and never says sorry... much like Fox News does.

You forgot all about the viewers outside American TV. Your ratings only cover that. Then there are all other TV viewers around the world, and all the many millions viewing the same thing online, on YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, and so on. When you add up the REAL number of viewers it is easily the most watched ever.

Not really. Most Trump supporters still aren't even sure whether it's a fake liberal MSM news lie that the Earth is a little older than 6,000 years, or that trickle down economics doesn't work, or that biological theories of race have been debunked, or that Obama has an American birth certificate. Some people are just a little slower on the uptake, I guess.

Fact of the matter is Trump is more often mainly an embellisher, he exaggerates. It is a trait often found in many good story tellers and salespeople.
