Don't follow the standard MO of the Trump propaganda machine and follow the bouncing ball that is the Nunes memo on FBI tactics to gain FISA warrants. This memo won't pass the DC "chuckle test".

This is purely a "backdoor" attempt by Trump to fire Mueller and end this investigation because Trump is getting more nervous and desperate with each passing day. Trump cannot fire Mueller himself and Rosenstein will not fire Mueller. Therefore, Trump needs an excuse to fire Rosenstein and replace him with someone who will fire Mueller. What better way than to tie Rosenstein with a larger issue and thus set the ground work for Rosenstein's firing.

Oddly enough, what Trump has done will likely "cement" Mueller's tenure as Special Prosecutor. These kinds of blunders are was happens when you put "rookies" in the White House.

I haven't followed any of this stuff. It all became too politicized for me. Too full of BS propaganda from both sides. I'll just wait on Mueller's final report and go from there. In the meantime, I'll sit back and read all the posts about this Russia stuff for laughs. Old Joseph Goebbels would be proud of all the political propaganda floating about these days.

The only question that needs to be asked is if the memo is truthful.

It's probably truthful. In the same way I'd be truthful if I said some punk named Zimmerman stalked and killed an unarmed black kid.

What's left out provides the context, and context is required or it's B.S. "truthful hyperbole" = B.S. - lies. But this is Trumpistan, and it seems we eat that stuff up if it supports our narrative, no matter how far fetch THAT is.

Why read the memo oneself when it's much easier to have someone else tell you what it's "really"about, then you can start a thread telling others no need to read it here is what you should think. Then hypocritically point to propaganda on the other side of the debate.

Politics at it's best. Bravo

The intent is probably not to fire Mueller but to show that any indictments handed down are "fruit of a poisonous tree." By showing political bias behind the FBI motives, the memo has already been successful. That's why the FBI threw such a tantrum to stop its release.

It does appear that the FISA warrant was fraudulently obtained.

How? The warrants were signed off on by 4 different judges since at least 2014. The requests were not 4 page memos that have now clued in the Russian intel folks when Page was under surveillance and what was said by all parties involved and possibly the methods and even possibly our own foreign agents.

If you believe a condensed version of events at face value.......Fox News own Shepard Smith stated that there was no context in the "memo." Nunes' past history doesn't lend itself to believability.....

The evidence to obtain the warrants starting in October of 2016 was misrepresented. The Nunes memo makes that clear.

Heh. The pasts of nearly everyone on Capital Hill don't lend credibility to much of anything they say. I'm waiting for the additional evidence. Until it appears, I'll go with what we have. What we have is that the warrants, per McCabe this past December, would not have been granted if not for the Steele dossier, which certainly appears to have been misrepresented.

I agree with the bolded, but there are no other members that have been caught on their "midnight ride" to the WH and back! Nunes is a demonstrated "waterboy!"

You are Clearly having a meltdown over the memo.

Misrepresented how? Please be clear.

I can't say, and I certainly can't comment on people who haven't been caught doing a whole host of things we probably wouldn't like if we knew. Nunes is definitely a Trump supporter. I don't know if that means he's a waterboy or not anymore than Obama campaigning for Hillary made him a waterboy for her. I do remember Obama telling Bill Clinton that Hillary would do a better job than either of them did. It sure sounds like Obama had the gears of Justice turning in Hillary's favor. Duzzat mean Obama's a waterboy too?

You could read the memo. It isn't all stated, but enough is clearly stated that an objective person can easily reach the conclusion that the Steele dossier was the centerpiece of the evidence that prompted a warrant, and McCabe stated so in Congressional testimony this past December. I can go and look that up, if you'd like. Furthermore, supporting corroboration of the Steele dossier was offered in the form of a piece by Yahoo News, which actually got the story from Steele himself, so it corroborated nothing. Nowhere in the evidence is the admission by the applicants for the warrant that Fusion GPS and the Steele dossier were funded in part by the Clinton Campaign and the DNC. That's a lie of omission, and a pretty serious one.

I did read it. Oh, so it wasn't all stated? LOL Another poster with the gift of immaculate perception.

The reason there is no mention of Clinton or the DNC is the fact that the opposition research that 45 and his son were all over, well, it's because Perkins Coie paid for it. Nowhere in the memo does it refute the facts we know so far. In fact, the so-called dossier was not disproved and it also proved that Papadopoulos was nabbed and it lead to the investigation. Even connected him to the campaign and not as a volunteer or coffee boy.

So, perhaps you need to read it.

OH! And Carter Page said that Paul Ryan would get all of the classified information out from "That dodgy dossier" back in Oct.31 during his interview with Chris Hayes. So why would the campaign hire someone under surveillance since 2013?

Get back with me when you can explain.

Well yes, there is more. If there isn't, then what's the Schiff memo about?

The task was never to disprove the dossier. The task was to verify it, and that task was never accomplished. The dossier doesn't meet the bar for evidence no matter how you care to twist it.

So, perhaps you need to read it.

It's not necessary to re-read something so I can gather your spin on it. The memo is a fairly direct statement.

...And it looks like that classified information is coming out now. You don't like it? I also have no idea how some people get themselves in position where they may not belong. We can ask Debbie Schultz about that. She may have some inside information on that process.

At least people haven't pulled the "Cuomo Tactic".
