Condoleeza Rice for President?

Condoleeza Rice for President?

You are posting utter nonsense. You are also inventing republican racism and sexism along the way. The truth is that the democrats are still as racist as they were during the segregation era, only in a different way. If an African American chooses to hold conservative views and run for office as a republican, you treat them as traitors to their race. You are fine with minorities as long as they remain on the left wing democrat party plantation. When Colin Powell was Secretary of State during the Bush Administration, the left referred to him as an "uncle tom. Condi Rice was referred to as Aunt Jemima. At least one African American who ran for the US Senate as a republcian was met with democrat party activists tossing oreo cookies at him.

I am inventing republican racism and sexism.. have you seen who is in the White House and all those good old boys who defend him in the US congress?

I don't believe that for a second. We've had a black guy President. One who was not regarded as a master politician, and one who's eligibility requirements were in question.

We had a woman candidate, twice, who was beaten only by the black guy, and the EC system, in spite of being the most corrupt politician ever.

Condy is a class act, articulate, intelligent, no baggage. The only reason she won't be president is that she has had enough of politics during her tenure as the token black, the token woman, under Bush.

If she ran as a Democrat then she would be a contender... but not as a Republican. If you look at who the Democrats historically have elected to office, then there is far more women and people of colour than the GOP... far far far far more.

True, however there is a problem.

1) She is a woman
2) She is black.

That alone will put off a lot on the right who vote in primaries. Hence she dont stand a chance there. If she were to run as an independent then maybe, but here her past could be a serious issue.. because again she is a woman.

I have no problem voting for a woman, or a black, or a black woman. However, Condoleeza Rice tends to be too conservative for my taste, and in addition, I would like to see someone who has experience either as a congress critter or a governor first.

Who here thinks that Condoleeza Rice would make a good President?

Don't know enough about her political ideas to have a conclusion, but it seems she would quickly be trashed as a RINO these days. Those goalposts have moved a very long way since the GWB era.

No way...
No way for Michelle as well.
We have the right person in office.

Yes, he was regarded as a master politician by anyone familiar with his history and, no, he eligibility requirements were never in question by anyone rational, sober adult.

Yawn. Didn't happen.

Condy is a neo-con relic of the Bush administration, complicit in their war crims and unfit for the office.

Hardly.. how many black candidates have not only been able to run as a Republican on a national stage let alone have a realistic chance? Yes there are individual black Americans who have in some states managed to break the glass ceiling, but lets be realistic here..

And how many women have been able to run on a national scale in general and been successful... let alone run as a Republican? Not many, and certainly not out of the South and the bible belt.

Things can change sure, but at the moment? Hell no.. we are talking about a Republican base that were willing to vote for a racist sexist cheating 3 time divorced 6 time bankrupt bastard, rather than vote for a woman, who yes might have been questionable, but in no way as bad as Trump.

Face it, there is a part of the GOP in some states that are utterly racist and as long as that part has so much influence as to gerrymander districts and marginalize black minorities as in "the good old days", then there is no chance in hell that a black person would become the candidate of the GOP.

How many have tried to run at the national level?? You want to blame the Reps., yet if they are told over and over that they won't get elected, they won't run. The people telling them this lie are liberals like yourself. You have created a self-fulfilling prophecy.

I think that the fact that she has led a major gov't bureau, along with her extensive executive experience in the private sector would be a fantastic set of qualifications. Getting someone with "beltway" experience, but also from outside the "beltway" would be an ideal situation.

I find that insufficient.

Rand's opinion of religious people was even lower.

What has religion ever done but hold back science, technology and capitalism? It began with witchdoctors in tribes, and never progressed much since. Anyone with any good ideas was burned at the stake as a witch. Were it not for religion, we would have been living on Mars a thousand years ago.

Why bother trying to run for a party that is full of racists and bigots and openly promote such views? The GOP is not exactly friendly towards non white men.

Condi Rice is an exceptionally smart and talented lady. I can't say if she'd be a good POTUS or not because I don't know enough about her views on things.

I think she would give it her best honest effort, which is not something I can say of most politicians, let alone Trump.
