I don’t know about you guys, but I really think Season 2 is throwing us a bit too much stuff too quickly.

The Russia thing still remains the dominant plot line, but I have a feeling the North Korea story will start building to provide a counter narrative.

The Stormy Daniels thing just seems like the writers were throwing half baked ideas out, and I don’t think they’ll be able to devote much time to the Melania/jealous hot model vs porn star subplot.

Other stuff just seems to be a little overwritten.
I mean, the whole ‘release the memo’ thing is a bit much- and Im pretty sure the reveal won’t live up to the hype.

However, I’m pretty pumped about my favorite character from Season 1 coming back- as this story suggests.

I'm anxious to see who gets voted off departs this season.

Really, I disagree. I found there to be many other exceptional minor characters that made an early exit. For example, the plot from Season 1 enjoyed a fair bit of comic relief from supporting cast member Sean Spicer. And since Spicer has gone on to other projects, they had to write him out early. There has been no short supply of comic relief, however for a minor character he was both memorable and well-rounded, for which I feel like Carter Page is neither. However, perhaps the writers have purposefully revealed less of Carter Page, so that his character may develop more during S2. In fact sometimes the minor characters from S1 of my past favorite dramas haven't even begun to come into their own, until midway through S2.

However, I had some gripes with the character development in S1. For example, the Reince Priebus character felt underwhelming before his inevitable departure. I felt like his entire inclusion in the story was pointless and brittle. Maybe that was to illustrate the broader theme that the central characters view people as expendable commodities?

I think there’s even an outside chance it doesn’t get renewed for next season.

But no one seems to depart for good. I mean, that Page guy seems to clearly be coming back, and the Bannon character, who was so loathsome in Season 1, looks like he might have a redemption moment this season.

Ooh, I hope so. He's one of my favorite villains so far.

His last scene from S1 was a nail biter. I'm hoping the writers unravel the plot thread of Don Jr being cracked like an egg.. which the Bannon character hinted at. I feel like that would be a satiating event for all the viewers.

I’m also looking forward to actually seeing the Mueller character speak. He’s just some off camera mythical guy now.

Agreed, the writers have done a great job of keeping him in a shroud of mystery. I don't think we will hear or see much of his character until the turning point in the story arc.

I also hear they will be releasing the DVD with bonus NSFW scenes.

Oh, I wouldn't write off the Stormy Daniels/Melania Trump subplot just yet. Sexy women, philandering husbands, and jealousy always help increase viewership.

I'm hoping the Scott Pruitt character actually receives some due criticism from the viewers. Although seen sparingly, every on-screen appearance of his character has been nauseating.

I have called it in various places; Trump nuclear war by the end of April ........... enjoy your time, wisely ........

Also, the payment was almost certainly an illegal campaign contribution. The source of the funds still needs to be investigated.

There will be more drama as Trump calls it a witch hunt and tries to fire the investigators.

Then Stormy can be forced to testify under oath. Maybe she can testify before Congress.

I think this promises to be a very entertaining season.

It IS just like a reality show!!! Characters like, "The Mooch" flaming out in 12 days, Amarosa being dragged, kicking and screaming from the WH - Trump and Bannon being stupid enough to let a tabloid hack like Wolff into the WH.

You just can't make this stuff up - excellent writing :)

But the writers are cramming in too many story lines to quickly.

I mean, we have Nunes doctoring the memo after it’s approved on the same day Trump lies about the audience size for the SOTU and It’s revealed Rosenstein was asked for his loyalty all on the same day.

And then there are the plot lines that go nowhere, like Mexico paying for the wall, or Obamacare being eliminated.

Oh no, I forgot about Nunes! He's like Larry from the 3 Stooges, jumping in and out of cars, getting info from Trump one day then running back and giving the information back the next - excellent theater!

Throw in Stormy having temporary amnesia, then suddenly remembering she's a transgender man, and you have subplots and cliff hangers that will keep people tuning in all season.

That kind of stuff doesn’t happen until they exhaust all the plausible plot lines. Like when Edith in All in the Family got cancer, or when Roseanne won the lottery.

I don’t see this show jumping the shark anytime soon, although they consistently edge up to that point.

You have to think of it less as a reality show, and more as a soap opera. It could be "As the Whitehouse turns," or maybe "All my Concubines."

TBH, It seems like more of a sitcom.
I mean, look whos making a season 2 appearance!

This episode makes no sense. The clowny villan Nunes trashes his own memo and votes for an opposing one?

Maybe this show HAS jumped the shark.
