This right here is exactly what is wrong with america today.

What's wrong with people speaking out against a leadership they think is wrong?

Do you want to force them to crawl into their hole and be quiet?

i guess you didn't read the reset of the comments.
thought police for the win.

"We must remove and replace the system and the culture that gave us Trump in the first place," he said adding "We must also cleanse our American soul of our white male privilege."
Moore.

how about moore can start by removing himself. i mean if he really wants to be an example.

The reset of the comments?

I don't know, I am responding to your comments and the article you linked. You think this is what's wrong with America and I read a story about celebrities hosting an event and speaking about what they believe in. Why do you think celebrities speaking out against a leadership they don't like is what is exactly wrong with America?

Because they aren't speaking out against the right people.

1.) fox entertainment piece is biased
2.) its funny that free speech and assembly bother you
3.) your post history shows you guilty of way more than whats contained in the biased article so it seems you are part of the same issue your claim not to like

of everything i read i would agree with one thing IF its true, but based on the biased article you cant tell. If they claim ALL people who dont think like them are evil that is silly and dumb and part of a problem.

Wait... so those who think Trump supporters are "ugly underbelly" and are organizing a counter State of the Union are the problem but others who think they should "crawl back into the hole they crawled out of" are not a problem?

Anyone else catch the irony of this OP?

What is wrong all of a sudden with people protesting their government? We still have that right.

Also (and you gotta love the panic over at FoxNews,) these "self-proclaimed political activists"... is there another kind?

Yeah!!!!!!!!! F the Constitution and our Rights!!!!!!!!!

'Merika dammit!!!!

Well, when someone like Michael Moore talks about "We must also cleanse our American soul of our white male privilege." it sounds a little radical. In a historical sense there have been a bit of political "cleansing" we can point to and it generally hasn't worked out well for those who were cleansed. I'd say stuff like that should at least raise an eyebrow.

Yeah, well, what if this was a white nationalist rally talking about "cleansing" people of a certain ethnicity or race? I seem to recall there being a bit of outrage regarding that kind of thing at some event last year.

Why are we so concerned about what celebrities think? Their opinions are worth exactly what the ones expressed on this forum are worth, no more and no less.

I would hope EVERYBODY sees the irony and hypocrisy but im guessing only those who are honest and objective will admit it.

White nationalists peacefully speaking at their assemblies isn't what I see as what's wrong with America.

This is exactly what I think is right about America- people who have a very unpopular opinion still getting the same right as the people with a very popular opinion to peacefully assemble and protest.

It's the trouble makers at any of those assemblies that are what's wrong with America. I didn't see any violence at this rally so I really don't see what's wrong.

Are you kidding me? The farthest thing from a good idea would be to try to shut those privileged loons up. Having Michael Moore rant against white male privilege or Hillary speak of treating women with respect when they point out sexual harassment in the workplace is the best possible situation. They drip with hypocrisy when they rant against gun violence and displaying women (and men) as sex objects and then make their many millions marketing films full of it. Having the top ranks of SJWs living in their gated community mansions and preaching about the ills of income inequality is fine by me.

To me it sounds like a dramatic white man who really has no idea but thinks he does.

Indeed, but better to plaster it on the evening news than to try to hide it.

Yeah man, my pores where pissed when I cleansed them.

You do know the difference between self-improvement(what Moore was talking about), and cleansing other people, right?

The leftist elite rarely take their own advice. Moore is a typical rich leftist demanding every day Americans bent to the left's will.

you should probably read the entire article.

not when the stupid people are feeding off this crap.

we should cleanse the american soul? seriously sounds pretty harsh to me. where have i heard those types of words before hmmmm.

Yeah, when you get right down to it most of the historical "cleansings" have been about self improvement. Generally speaking, it's always been about "self improving" the people to join in the political doctrine and if they don't make it, well, that's an improvement too. Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot, all self improvement specialists!

Not a big fan of Moore but I like his quotes. And unfortunately, The Donald has really heightened the entitlement and arrogance of the whole 'white male privilege' thing, rather than allowed it to equalize with the rest of Americans.
