The list of fake republican "scandals" since Trump took office:

1. The Obama Wire Tapping of Trump campaign fake scandal. (via GOP Rep. Devin Nunes).
2. The "Illegal unmasking" of Trump officials by Susan Rice fake scandal (again via Devin Nunes ).
3. The Uranium One fake scandal (via Sean Hannity buddy and right wing blogger John Solomon).
4. The Russian "Dossier" funding fake scandal (via FoxNews)
5. The "Secret Society" fake scandal of this past week(via Rep. Devin Nunes (yet again), as well as Sen. Ron Johnson among others).
6. And now, the "Secret FBI Memo" fake scandal.

And we're only 12 months into the Trump presidency.

We could compile a list of dozens of similar (and worse) crazy, baseless conspiracy theories that were promoted by the Gop'ers during the Obama presidency.

The kinds of oddball, irrational, dishonest, radical and hateful propaganda and rhetoric that used to come only from the fringes of the conservative movement (i.e. the John Birch Society, Ayn Rand Society, White Supremacist groups, etc.) is now being WHOLLY embraced and promoted by ELECTED Conservative/Republican leaders in this country.

I think it's long-passed time to stop giving republicans the benefit of the doubt about this, and just accept that irrational, dishonest and/or hateful conspiracy theories are not just a "right wing fringe" thing, but a MAINSTREAM Conservative thing.

Must make sure people get out and vote and realize teh importance of voting. The hateful idiots that eat this garbage up represent a small percentage of the country, so if people get out and vote, they won't have a voice. Politicians care about reelection, they care little about the garbage they spew, its just meant for votes.

That's why republicans never do anything. They don't try to ban abortion, they do nothing about illegals. When dems control a house or the presidency and they know it will never pass, they pass bill after bill to appease their base, but as soon as they have full control, they do nothing. It's all an act. I can't believe people in this country are so stupid and/or dishonest as to not clearly see this. They don't hide it

Nonsense.

Let's just note that "It's a joke" is the correct assessment that discredited the last crazy, right wing conspiracy theory/hoax about the fake "textgate" story. The entire "Secret Society" meme came crashing down in flames once people were able to see more of the conversation in order to put that particular text into proper context.

Let's also note that "coded romantic messages" was promoted by right wingers, not by "liberals".

And let's also note that NO ONE is claiming that the texts are created by Russian hackers.

No one else will answer my question -how about you...

Now then, since this does have the appearance of something sketchy (not saying that it is, just that it looks like it), would you support an investigation into the full chain of messages to determine of this is a case of FBI agents suppressing an investigation?

My anticipated laughing jag...when it dawns on you that your brave front was all for naught...gives me a tingle up my leg.

That is a question about right and wrong, and moral values... Therefore, you didn't really expect any of them would answer it, did you?

Most of them put partisan politics before doing what's right, making your question unanswerable for them.

Dude and/or Sir, you posted one tweet out of context and asserted there should be an entire investigation over it. You were asked why and about the context. Your minimal response was to challenge other people to go find your context for you.

What is the issue you want us to worry about?

They don't know, Fox news has been telling them it deserves an investigation so they are repeating it. You expect honesty from these people?

Meanwhile, Trump doesnt' deserve to be investigated after countless evidence and examples of his sketchy dealings. Multiple people have plead guilty, trump has tried to fire the people investigating him, but there is nothing to see here, but hey, lets believe stupid conspiracy theories.

But lets deflect to some absurd nothing that there is some conspiracy. God, these people are nuts

You can tell who is spoon feed here, us Trumpsters need to stop trying to show real evidence that needs to be investigated and just let it all come out, the MSM will at some point have to report on these text messages, they are trying to keep us from seeing them.

Seriously?

Is this the first you've heard about text messages between Strzok and Page? If not, have you taken the time to read any of them?

Have you not heard about the classified memo circulating in Congress that reportedly lists abuses of the FISA court, that James Comey, Andy McCabe and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein are named in?

Have you read anything in the last few weeks about the conflict of interests that existed during the Hillary Clinton investigation of FBI Deputy Director Andy McCabe, or the former associate deputy attorney general at the DOJ, Bruce Ohr?

If you've kept up with the latest political news and read the stories about these people, then your question makes absolutely no sense... If you truly are that uninformed and don't have the first clue about what has been uncovered, then the answer to your question is "political corruption on a grand scale".

Instead of asking me loaded questions, you should articulate exactly what it is you are mad about.

"Nudge nudge, know what I mean?" was a comedy sketch....

Obstruction of justice.

Obstruction of justice, in United States jurisdictions, is the crime of obstructing prosecutors or other (usually government) officials. Common law jurisdictions other than the United States tend to use the wider offense of perverting the course of justice.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Obstruction_of_justice

Hmm. Yeah, would seem to apply, at least on Strzok and Page's part. Perhaps others. I wonder if either of them will ever be charged?

Based on the fact that Strzok affected the investigation.

Affected the investigation, yeah, altered the investigation's conclusions as well, editing from criminal terms to non-criminal terms.
Was that in his authority to do so?

So, there is no freedom of speech in the US?

A year old opinion is cause to do what?

Desperate!

Obstruction of justice, my friend.

Are you under some bizarre notion Comey did not have top authority at the FBI?

Are you under some bizarre notion Comey did not have top authority at the FBI?

Do you really believe that Comey didn't know what Strzok and Page where up to?

Comey wrote the initial memo with the criminal terms in place, and Strzok edited them away, and then Comey read those words at his grandstanding presser. All this would have escaped his attention? A supposedly professional investigator and observer?

Seems far more likely that Comey endorsed and supported Strzok and Page's actions.

So the circle of corruption at the FBI now includes 'Andy' McCabe, Comey, Strzok and Page.
I suspect before all this is concluded there'll be a few more at the top ranks of the FBI, but we'll see how this unfolds.

A nonsense sentence. ^

Cut the crap. The buck stops with Comey. He made the ultimate decision.

All on the team agreed - unanimously --------------> "No reasonable prosecutor" would pursue charges based on the evidence. End of story.

Instead of asking me loaded questions, you should articulate exactly what it is you are mad about.

First, I'm not mad... I find much of the dialog rather humorous.

Second, you asked the following question:

What is the issue you want us to worry about?

I gave you an answer:

"political corruption on a grand scale".

I don't think I could articulate it any better than that.

So, what are your thoughts on what has been uncovered thus far and do you think it merits investigating?

.

So. Let me get this straight. If there are suspicious text messages between agents. Unpopular searches and seizures. Mishandled evidence. Suspected cover-ups. That there is reason to suspect the the law enforcement agency in question is guilty of something? That there is a culture of corruption in leadership? That an investigation is in order?
Would you apply this same standard to Ferguson, MO? How about New Orleans, LA? How about Maricopa County, AZ?
After all, if it can happen with the premier law enforcement agency in the nation it can certainly happen anywhere. We, as a nation need to root out the corruption in law enforcement throughout this nation or none of us are safe. Damn, that sounded really paranoid.

You two, and many others I assume, can deny all you want, but it is fairly apparent to anyone paying the slightest bit of attention that the Hillary email investigation and conclusion was the conclusion sought rather than the conclusion supported by the evidence and the facts of the case.

  • From the very beginning, when Lynch ordered that it be called 'a matter' rather than what it was, namely an investigation. What? Did the FBI suddenly become the 'Federal Bureau of Matters' ?
  • Altering the memo removing and replacing criminal terms with non criminal ones before the investigation was completed under pins it, and goes to patter and shoddy work by those involved.
  • This exoneration memo written before even the investigation was concluded. Before the principals were even interviewed.
  • The two, or more, pro-Hillary FBI agents and their text messages go to pattern and raise suspicion.
  • The intent of 'going light' on Hillary, rather than 'loaded for bear', which most any other subject would be subjected to.
  • Their talk of insurance policy in 'Andy's office' implicate Andrew McCabe as being in on it.
  • The long litany of criminal acts that Comey cited in his own presser only to overstep his role and assert "No reasonable prosecutor"; is he a prosecutor? The last time I checked, the director FBI was a prosecutor. Don't actual prosecutors have a say in the matter?
There's no leg left to stand on here, to claim that there isn't corruption and obstruction of justice by these people and the actions that they've taken.

There's no leg left to stand on here, to claim that Hillary's email investigation was proper and well done, and that justice was served.

It needs to be done over, and done correct and proper this time.

You can poo poo it all you want, you can berate belittle and shout names; throw your temper tantrums all you want, but all that doesn't change any of the facts listed above.

Trump loving supporters and Hillllllllllllllllllllllllllllary haters.

Deny all you want.

So just name calling, and no substantiative rebuttal of the present points and arguments.

So noted. You are dismissed.

(And I didn't even mention Trump once. :lamo - so who's just pushing crap?)

And yet, these people involved are life long republican voters.
I didn't belittle, or poo poo or even yell. Note the absence of capital letters. I am also very disheartened by the way the Clinton stuff was done. Very unprofessional. But why in hell would Comey have released that stupid letter a week before the Election if he was in Clinton's corner? If you cannot answer that, please know that I will consider any response to this post as a hostile and ill-informed post from a Trump toady.
