What are women marching about? [W:182]

Re: What are women marching about?

Once again... LMAO.

So do you have a reason why she did not use google to answer her stupid question? Why didn't you?

Re: What are women marching about?

It amazes me how threatened some folks on the right are when women stand up for themselves.

Re: What are women marching about?

So they can pass their male-hating, feminazi rhetoric on to a younger generation.

Yeah, I don't think using children in the march is right, but adults marching themselves is not a problem.

They're not threatened, probably just confused because in their mind, women have nothing to complain about.

I disagree. I think some folks on the right wish they were living in the 50's when women were expected to submit to whatever came their way. I've seen in several threads righties pushing back against the #metoo movement, most claiming they don't understand the difference between welcome and unwelcome behavior.

Re: What are women marching about?

That's a really stupid assessment.

#Hesaidshesaidshesaidshesaidshesaidshesaidshesaidshesaidshesaidshesaidshesaidshesaidshesaidshesaidshesaidshesaidshesaid

Really? What logical assessment is there to make of these protestors?

White feminist holding a **** White Feminism sign.....yep.

Now tell those male police officers to protect us while we march

Re: What are women marching about?

Maybe they don't have specific requests to the government because this is a cultural issue without a clear political fix? Did you guys think about that? #MeToo is an example of this. Public awareness about an issue exposed a country (world) wide problem where men in positions of power were taking advantage of women and no one was willing to do anything about it because there was no incentive to and plenty incentive not to. The women's march was an opportunity to show women around the country that they have power in this country because they have numbers. If you are too dense to get that, please stop voting.

Police officers are not always male. Any protest in DC has the right to request police assistance if they file the appropriate paper work. The rest of your post is unsuprisingly nonsensical

Re: What are women marching about?

Why not just listen... perhaps go so far as apply a little empathy... then come back and ask what they are marching about? Too crazy of an idea?

Re: What are women marching about?

Yeah, I don't agree with everything the protesters are doing, such as literring, but peaceful protest is okay.

-9 out of 10 police officers are male.
- I can't imagine that any of these marches would have been possible without police protection.
- calling something nonsensical without being able to explain why it's nonsensical is in fact...

nonsensical.

Re: What are women marching about?

They seem to feel particularly entitled to instruct others on acceptable forms of protest....

I don't really know about this year but last year is was very clear they were protesting against anti-abortionists. It was a pro-abortion movement.

Re: What are women marching about?

How dare they have anything negative to say about Trump? - every RWer in this thread.

Re: What are women marching about?

They're protesting for rights they already have, while ignoring real abuses of women. Last year, one of the co-chairs was Linda Sarsour, a woman who goes around college campuses trying to convince young women that Sharia Law is in their best interest.

Re: What are women marching about?

Who do you think they are mad at? They are mad at the voters of this country for not caring about an alleged rapist with decades of sexual harrassment allegations and his own verbal statements confirming that he at very least pushes himself on women by forcefully kissing them and grabbing their genitals who made it through a campaign where he routinely insulted women for their looks and for aging, said women who get abortions should be punished, and said creepy things about this daughter AND WON over one of the most qualified (on paper) candidates in our history as far as a record of services goes. Obviously, Clinton had a crap ton of negatives, too, but the amount of negatives people were willing to overlook on Trump is still just astounding.

No argument here, though they're a bit less focused on the targets of their rage.

The opposition claims the same of Bill Clinton and others, and certainly there's evidence in that direction.

Re: What are women marching about?

So if they limit their march to issues facing women in the US alone, they are not inclusive enough. But if they march for a number of issues that women in the US face they are disjointed attention whores

Strawman much? Seriously, point to a single time that I have said either sentence or implied either sentence.

AND LGTB issues are related to gender discrimination - an issue the march focuses on.

Let's assume that you're right just for the sake of discussion. Why are they including gays wouldn't that be a men's issue since gays are associated with men and lesbians are associated with women? And the IA which are supposed to be, essentially, genderless. This is after all a WOMANS march. And overall LGBTQ issues has nothing to do with gender discrimination but with sexual orientation discrimination. Or are you going to only make it a gender issue in order to suit your purposes? After all, "gender" is a social construct isn't it? Lesbians and gays have no problem with their gender identities. Nor do bi-sexuals or queers. You have a case for Transgenders though. That is about gender. So they at least could join them. Not the others.....if they're really marching for women's issues. Though I would argue that transgender issues are completely separate from women's issues for the simple fact that women that are not transgendered do not have any of the same issues as transgenders.

Its nonsensical because your post was a lot of non sequiturs that didn't make any sense. Yea police officers are male. Women are marching to get rid of men. What in God's name are you talking about?

Re: What are women marching about?

So we have a thread where a bunch of white men willfully can't understand what issues a group they don't belong to may be marching about. We've seen this movie before.

Awwww...look at you...Using both the racist card and the bigotry card all in one fell swoop. Guess when you don't have an argument but still want to feel important enough to voice something the result ends up in ad homs.

Re: What are women marching about?

So do you have a reason why she did not use google to answer her stupid question? Why didn't you?

Playing dumb is obviously something you take pride in.

You know damned well that she was making fun of them and for good reason. This comes from the womens march website:

We stand together in solidarity with our partners and children for the protection of our rights, our safety, our health, and our families - recognizing that our vibrant and diverse communities are the strength of our country.

Women's rights, their safety, their health and their families are NOT in any way, shape or form, in jeopardy in the United States. I repeat, NOT in jeopardy.

It's all a political lie concocted by progressives and far left loons to scare women into joining their political cause, because it's the only possible way that anyone would embrace such a despicable ideology. It's the identity politics "divide and conquer" strategy the left has been engaging in since the election of President Obama. Candice Owens making fun of them was exactly what they deserved.

So she was being stupid because she wanted to use the 5th rule for radicals. I thought you where against those rules...

Your first sentence and your last paragraph

Let's assume that you're right just for the sake of discussion. Why are they including gays wouldn't that be a men's issue since gays are associated with men and lesbians are associated with women? And the IA which are supposed to be, essentially, genderless. This is after all a WOMANS march. discrimination against gays is a form of gender discrimination, and gender discrimination has a negative impact on women and LGBTQs. The reasons why gay men, bi-sexuals and queers --btw, many queers are female-- are included is because they are discriminated against for not conforming to gender stereotypes that are part of a patriarchal culture. Just as MLK saw race discrimination as something that also hurt white people, the people who organized this march see gender discrimination as something whose damage is not limited to women. And like these women, MLK did not limit his activism to fighting racial discrimination against blacks. He also fought for poor people
