Give his constant bragging about his deal making/negotiating skills, you would think that our POTUS would relish the opportunity the be "front and center" in the debate to keep the government open. After all, in the world of politics, brokering a government shutdown deal would be the equivalent of being the star quarterback in the Superbowl. Instead, we found Trump secluded in the WH, eating cheeseburgers and watching Fox News. Any communication was done by sending out his "talking heads" and more tweets. Apparently, he is too insecure to even face the press himself. Given that Trump's negotiation skills are as useful as a degree from Trump University, keeping the "Star" on the bench was the best possible outcome.
