There is serious talk on Capitol Hill about the appointment of a second special counsel amid several new bombshell revelations swirling around the Trump/Russia probe. First, there are the allegations of shocking and substantial government surveillance abuses under President Obama outlined in the FISA abuse memo. Secondly, the FBI lost five months of key text messages between the anti-Trump/pro-Clinton FBI officials Peter Strzok and his mistress Lisa Page. And now there's talk of a "secret society" of officials within the FBI that apparently met the day after the election of Donald J. Trump to plot against the president-elect.

We dont know but we do know that Washington is corrupt enough that it might have happened.

Do you have sources for these stories that come from valid news sites, and not conservative news and opinion websites?
No, it's just the typical wing-nut games that are common place.

What these fools don't get is that extraordinarily high probable cause must be met for FISA warrants to be issued. This GOP talking point that the FBI went to a judge with the Steele memo and warrants to surveil Manafort and Page were issued, is just idiotic right-wing blogosphere nonsense, that only exists in their enfeebled minds.

Trump, Sessions, Rosenstein, Wray, Nunes, and all the GOP have been able to see these warrants. Hell, if Trump wants to, he can declassify those warrants, and prove there truly was abuse by the FBI during the election. But he hasn't done a single thing in that regard, precisely because he is aware there was probable cause.

And just so everyone knows, the warrants on Manafort were related to flagged transactions, as well intelligence by the CIA related to his activities with the Russian mafia. Everything is all there in black and white to demonstrate his clunky con-games, whether the GOP likes it or not.

100% correct. I just like seeing people like the OP stumble all over themselves when somebody asks for a source that's not a blog, or an op/ed.

Well, leave to leftists to take one of the most renowned law enforcement agencies in the world and turn it into a steaming pile of corruption.

Nice going. Thanks for screwing the country.

Even if true, how would this end the Mueller investigation?

Do you have sources for these stories that come from valid news sites, and not conservative news and opinion websites?

"valid news sites" = "left-wing biased news sites"

Be honest, eh?

Your version of valid sites? They wouldn't dare.......until it was blatantly out in the open. :lamo

Well that's a made up lie. I mean really, you don't think the russia written, hillary colluded dossier was used to get fisa warrants?

So your reply is No, you do not have reliable sources...........noted.

I don't consider left-wing biased news sites any more reliable than any other news sites.

I don't consider left-wing biased news sites any more reliable than any other news sites.

Neither do I, I take all news sources with a grain of salt and often double and triple check many reports to verify as best I can whether I am getting the whole truth or lies or half truths (also lies) before deciding what is or is not truth. So far I have found that not surprisingly left leaning sources skew their reports to fit their agenda and that right leaning sites do exactly the same and is more the norm than the exception.

So then you dont buy the argument that truth has a liberal bias?

Facts are not biased.

Truth is whatever people think it is...and is influenced by bias.

The FBI, The CIA, and almost our entire intelligence community is swimming with ex-military. For all the bitching conservatives do about left-wing bias in the media, and the overwhelming number of reporters being liberal you don't get to make the same claims about the FBI. The vast majority of our intelligence community is in one shape or form a ex-military. It is largely made up of white christian men. Warhawks who believe in piece throught violence and if they have a serious bias towards any political group it is towards conservatives not liberals.

All throughout the campaign the serious concern is that the FBI was filled with anti-Hillary people dragging out an otherwise trivial investigation for the purposes of hurting Clinton politically. It worked, whether they intended to do it or not. If the FBI is seriously investigating a Republican president you can be damn sure he diserves it.

COming from the queens of "anonymous sources" don't you and your ilk feel a little ashamed of your hypocrisy?

Even if true, how would this end the Mueller investigation?

By removing the reason for the investigation.

What will be shown is that the whole "Trump/Russia" thing was cooked up by people in the Obama administration, in concert with the DNC and the Hillary campaign to be used against Trump both before and after the election.

Hmm. When the preeminent federal law enforcement agency has a "secret society" which objects to a legitimately elected president garners legitimate recollections of 'The Star Chamber'.

In modern usage, legal or administrative bodies with strict, arbitrary rulings and secretive proceedings are sometimes called, metaphorically or poetically, "star chambers". This is a pejorative term and intended to cast doubt on the legitimacy of the proceedings. "Star Chamber" can also be used in its original meaning, for instance when a politician uses parliamentary privilege to attack a powerful organisation or person.[SUP][a][/SUP]

Yep.

The next logical question is whether this "secret society" or 'Star Chamber' called for those text messages to be 'lost' or not.

Hmm. Seems the FBI and DOJ is in high need or a thorough house cleaning (swamp draining), such is the stench that is emanating form them.

Some would call it an 'insurance policy'.
