This really was a butchery of a lot of talking points that primarily fall on the left side of things. I've got my disagreements with JBP but he truly is a talented orator and highly intelligent guy.

Cathy was rather disappointing in this interview.
She kept trying to talk, or yell over him and continually twisted his words to suit the image she was trying to sell.

Though its funny when he stumps her and that blank stare just continues for a few seconds.

I watched that. I don't really like Jordan Peterson, but I did agree with most of his points here.

I watched Daddy Kermit's interview several days ago when it first got uploaded to YouTube, and the thing that stood out to me the most was how incredibly calm and patient Professor Peterson is. I would crumble like a passive-aggressive cookie if someone spent half an hour trying to put words in my mouth like that.

I recently discovered JP and he put into words and codified the things which I've seen happening, but didn't quite have the ability to express.
I really like how he baffled Newman with common sense and concrete thinking.

Although, she gave a tour de force performance in the art of the straw man fallacy.

Good cummies, huh?

You know I love running D&D games. As the guy in charge of setting up a consistent setting & overarching plotline, the stuff I learn from Professor Peterson's analysis of things like Disney movies & Biblical stories are incredibly helpful. As a Jung-style psychologist, he's spent a lot of time analyzing the aspects of stories that crop up across all of humanity, the stuff that's fundamentally built into our very psyches. His take on dragons, and the purpose they serve in dreams & stories, is a good example of the insights this man has to offer.

Video's about 8 minutes long, so to summarize: dragons are a horrifying amalgamation of everything predatory that ate us for tens of millions of years, and in stories, it represents both our greatest fears and the things we need or want most of all. In another video of his that I haven't quite tracked down, he goes into a bit more detail about why Asian dragons are represented as mostly positive while European dragons are mostly negative.

Was wondering what in particular you don't like about him? It is as simple as not liking his face or is it what he says?

Some of the stuff that he's said I don't agree with. But he is an interesting character, though. I enjoyed watching him on the H3H3 Podcast. And pretty much every video that I've seen of him being confronted by some crazy SJW, I've taken his side.

Thank you. That was rather enjoyable to watch. I couldn't believe how much she was trying to twist his words to try and make him out to be a bad guy. And it was funny as hell when he made her completely unable to counter him so much that she was literally speechless.

I'm going to have my wife watch it and see what she says.

She's a horrible debater. All she did was pull strawmans.

If you are ever in the Mississippi area and want to get a D&D game up let me know.

Wow...she was utterly outmatched the entire video. She never stopped, throughout the entire process, of projecting points or words that he never said. She has not a single shred of honesty in her entire body, wasn't smart enough to understand what he was saying, or just suffered from so much misinformation/sociological mind control or a combination of all those things.

Is there anything in particular? I'm just curious because you're one of the more rational lefties on the board so I'm wondering what the particulars are. If you don't know off the top of your head, that's fine. Don't waste time looking up/watching a bunch of stuff.

Yeah, I can't give you any specifics rn.
