In the vain of certain posters endless string of unsubstantiated allegation threads I thought I would join the party and prematurely post one of my own.

How the House Intelligence Committee can make Nunes' FISA memo public - CNNPolitics

Republicans on the House Intelligence Committee are considering using an obscure committee rule to bypass the executive branch's declassification process to release the classified memo on alleged surveillance abuses spearheaded by Chairman Devin Nunes.

Rep. Mike Conaway, the Texas Republican leading the committee's Russia investigation, said Friday evening that the committee would consider using the rule — which he believed had never been invoked in the committee's 40-year history — in order to publicly release the memo that Republicans say details FBI abuses of a surveillance law known as FISA. And if the committee votes in favor of making the classified Nunes memo public, the rule states that it's then up to President Donald Trump to decide whether it should be released.
Republicans allege in the memo details FBI abuses related to FISA and the use of the opposition research dossier on Trump and Russia that was compiled by ex-British intelligence agent Christopher Steele, whose work with Fusion GPS was paid through Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign and the Democratic National Committee.

Will not change a thing, Mueller is going to finish his investigation or the Republicans would become a minority in Both Houses of Congress and lose the WH, the American People would be outraged if such a blatant attempt to kill the investigation were even attempted no less actually done. Go for it and see how it works out, some always have to learn the hard way.

If Nunes a farmer from California with no investigative experience can write a memo and cause this many people to be in an uproar then I better get busy I was a paralegal for a few years.

I don't give a ****. Release all the memos, as long as there isn't legit classified info (not that the public could ever confirm the determination that there is....a rather necessary weakness in a modern democracy).




That said, Nunes is a dribbling sychophant.

1. The investigation that Nunes is conducting isn't about the Mueller investigation at all, so your contention that he is trying to kill Mueller's investigation is just plain wrong.

2. This outrage that you say the American people will feel if the Mueller investigation ends pales in comparison to the outrage the American people will feel when this House memo is release.

That being said, there are those...the most rabid Trump haters...who, after the release of the memo, will deny its contents...who will deny documented proof of the actions of the corrupt Obama administration...who will try their best to find something else about Trump to complain about while all their dreams of a failed Trump Presidency crumbles around them. I suspect you'll be taking your place along side such people.

I wouldn't be upset at all, but you're probably right, because most of the public hasn't followed the investigation very closely. I suspect that because President Trump probably realizes he can't directly kill the probe, exposing the probe for the fraud that it is will cause Mueller himself to want to stop the investigation. We've already seen multiple FBI agents/lawyers/investigators exposed. How many more will Mueller allow to be exposed before he thinks that continuing the fraud of investigation isn't worth it?

#MeToo wasn't about Trump. It was about sexual abuse. It exposed a lot of Hollywood insiders, some media members, and average people also talked about their own stories.

LOL. They've all but come out and said (and some of their surrogates *have* said) -- the goal, er plan...er effect would be to find reason to fire Rosenstein, thereby clearing a way to kaboom Mueller.

If you have haven't figured this out by now, there's a pretty high level of naivety at work.

Nice idea, but the FAILED INTELLIGENTSIA! is addicted to secrecy and "Saying that would not be prudent" which is code for "Saying that will not help this bus get to UTOPIA!".....for the obvious reasons of their generally lack of both morality and competence.
