Government Shutdown... who is truly to blame??

I am betting that Trump will honor that promise as well. There are many ways to make Mexico pay for the wall. It's not rocket science. It could be done with tarriffs, the US government to tap into the money that illegal immigrants send back to Mexico through wire transfers, or the US could simply deduct the cost of the wall from aid that we give to Mexico. If Trump want's Mexico to pay for the wall, in the long run, Mexico does not have a choice, other then writing a check for it or accepting whatever other means the US goes with.

There is certainly an element of truth to what you say. Yes, we have the government we deserve.

But it is equally true that the government was hijacked many years ago, and that the citizens have been very well brainwashed. When so much of what the American people believe is false, we will understand the role of disinformation. 100 years after Woodrow Wilson hired Edward Bernays to control "public relations", the effort has evolved to a very skilled ministry of propaganda.

So are the typical locks on doors and windows yet folks still feel better living and having their stuff stored behind them. Reducing crime is not the important factor with "security" - it is simply making yourself less likely to be the chosen victim.

It's like the two guys that see a big, angry bear and start running. One says to the other "Do you realize that people can't outrun a bear?" and the other replies "I know that - but I hope I can outrun you". ;)

CNN absolutely is "fake news". It's undeniable. In the last year they have put out so many stories without verifying them, that they have had to fire people when caught. They have become the tabloid of the 24 hour cable news networks.

Actually, the fact that they fire people who made mistakes is proof that they are not fake. Compare that to Fox, who still puts lying Hannity on every night, and now has a race-baiting Tucker Carson Hour.

Yes.......we will initially pay for the wall. That's how government contracts work. However in the long run, Mexico will pay for it. Perhaps Trump would have been better served if he had said, I will make Mexico reimburse us for the wall. However, even if you want to dispute that, in the long run Mexico will still pay for it in the loss of tax revenue on the money that illegals send home through wire transfers. One way or another, if the wall is built, Mexico will be out the cost of the wall or more. Wrap your brain around that fact.

I am not the biggest fan of Sean Hannity...however it's a stretch to suggest that he is lying. And Tucker Carlson is not a race baiter. Modern race baiting is practiced only by the left. Examples: If you disagreed with Obama on any issue, you are accused of racism. If you want border enforcement, you are accused of racism. if you support voter ID bills, you are accused of racism.

The other day, when that Mark Steyn guy went on Carlson to whine about Arizona turning Hispanic while defending White Nationalists...definitely racist.

Prove it. There may be something to the Seth Rich story. having said that, Hannity should have waited for verification. as for Mark Steyn going on Carlson's show, I would have to hear what was actually said. Do you have a you tube link?

I guess McConnel was lying when he and other GOP legislators said they were not only getting no directions from the White house, but contradictory ones. I guess the only channel you watch is Faux News, oh, I mean Fox News. No one with a brain believes that station anymore. Hve yu noticed that they don't even use the fair and balanced theme anymore.

I don't have locks on my doors, I have loaded guns, as do my neighbors.
We don't see eye to eye politically but neither of us will get robbed.

911 is for after the shooting is done out here where we live.
