Being somebody who lives in Mexico I can tell you there are many different shades of skin here.

Not everybody fits your narrative.

I misspoke. Obviously, I know the difference. In my haste to show you how dense you had to be to think that Trump wasn't referring to brown people when he said "Mexico sends us ...", I didn't correct you when YOU brought up, "Trump never said anything about race". I fell right into your "gotcha" trap.

My bad.

His obvious plot is to rally his base around their hate for brown people and get them to rise up speaking out against them so he can point to the "will of the people" when he works to get rid of them all.

How did you get a skin color from Trump saying Mexico send people to the US?

Does the color of their skin make any difference at all?

That being said, I support the CA AG's decision - we have to show the people that we will not roll over and obey the every whim of a white nationalist government that wants to kick out as many brown people as they can under the guise of "federal law". You pointed out Wallace...and in a small way, this is like the flip side of what happened in GA back then, when the federal government stepped in to stop the racism perpetuated by the state government. In this case, it's the state government stepping in to stop the racism enabled by the federal government.

Pure crazy, So I guess I'll talk to my AG about allowing our gun shops to sell guns to white folk only and not to bother to comply with the federal NICS background check system.

You can do that, if that's what you really believe in. Frankly, you'll find quite a few of your fellow conservatives who think the same way. The fact that you think that way doesn't make you right or wrong, but just that that's what you personally believe...and if you actually work to make that happen, you might succeed (hopefully you don't), but in any case, you've got to be willing to accept the consequences for trying to make that happen.
