Where is the "Great negotiator"?

Nice assumption there. I was talking in general not a specific case.

So you don't know of any families that were actually "ripped apart"?

You do know trump is on record as wanting the dreamers to stay, has been pretty consistant since the campaign. He wants a deal, the democrats don't and infact want the shutdown to deflect from the positive news about the tax cuts.

Well my landlords family from Nicaragua have been having issues with immigration if that answers your question.

Just curious...are they illegal aliens?

oh so anecdotal personal stories now? I don't know the legal status of your "landlords family", you probably don't either.

You asked if I knew any families that were being ripped apart. I think that answers your question.

You claimed I was ignorant. So inform me.

the senate requires a super majority to pass a CR. if the dems hold that back because of a tantrum, like you all blamed the republican for, if you blame the republicans and POTUS this time, you are a bunch of raging hypocrites.

And you and your ilk will happily be those hypocrites without batting an eye.

Yes but their kids are Americans. They don't even like Nicaragua.

Have they been? It's beautiful there.

anyway, thus far we see deportations of felons, and other criminals. have you seen any families ripped apart without due cause?

The GOP is in charge of the House of Representatives having a majority of members in that body.
The GOP is in charge of the US Senate having a majority of members in that body.
The GOP holds the White House in the person of the President and his entire administration.

If Congress and the President cannot pass the necessary legislation to keep our government running - that is entirely on the Republicans who control those institutions.

trump liars are out early and often on TV atm playing their despicable and unpatriotic 'children' and 'military' cards. We already know how GOPs would act in reverse, as we saw in Obama's first two years. McConnellism doesn't even have 50 votes, let alone knows what surrogate president kelly wants.

Remember McConnellism's 'one-term' only speech, as well as Mitch arguing citizens divided in front of the USSC, and MM's unprecedented filibusters? McConnell is the new Reid.

So, let's put it on the table. I'll give them their complete wall, from the taxpayers, though as president kelly tells us, it'll be a mixture. Deficits don't matter now so yes on whatever border security GOPs want, though they can't fill their openings now.

Address disaster relief in this CR; fires followed by mudslides; multiple hurricanes; this has to be done. Build a framework for a real budget after this 4th CR in 4 months. Your turn, as I've left out other crucial subissues that must be addressed in the next 3/4 days ...

..and another pointless TDS thread...

GOP government shutdowns, with less than 50 votes right now, with McConnellism not knowing what trump wants, is certainly not a pointless thread. I will agree with you that deflection from issues is a form of another type of tds ...

The 'illegal alien' card is quite unpopular with the American people. Let them play it ...

It's great to visit not great to stay. Sure, if you define criminals as people who were brought to this country by other illegal immigrants. I don't though.

Trump can best be described in one simple sentence: THE OLDER HE GETS, THE BETTER HE WAS.

Maybe he needs more "Executive Golfing Time"?

What are you talking about?

Convincing Apple, Inc., to repatriate nearly a third of a trillion dollars? To build a new campus in the US?

Getting Congress to pass tax reform and repeal the Obamacare mandate?

Defeating ISIS?

Recognizing Jerusalem?

Throwing the Paris Climate Agreement in the crapper?

LOL!!

Hyperbole much?

Seriously...seems to me that Congressional Republicans and Democrats want to do something for the Dreamers...and so does the President. Don't you agree? That being the case, why is Congress having so much trouble getting it done. Seems it should sail right through and land on Trump's desk where he's sitting with pen in hand.

But...as we saw back in 2015, those Congressional Reps and Dems can't do a simple thing without playing their political games. Too bad for the victims those game players are going to dick around until the timer runs out on them.

Wow, that was quick. Quite the shift from the post I responded to (and speaking of hyperbole...):

In the meantime, Obama's DACA EO is living on rapidly evaporating borrowed time.

Just think of what ICE can do with that list of 800,000 dreamers they have. Their dreams may turn into nightmares and it'll be the Democrat's fault.

Do you support efforts to allow Dreamers to stay, or do you support efforts to have them deported? And is it Democrats fault or (Republican Dominated) Congress' fault if they get deported?

I don't care.

And is it Democrats fault or (Republican Dominated) Congress' fault if they get deported?

Both...however the main impediment to getting Dreamer legislation to Trump's desk is coming from the Democrats.
