Melinda Byerley, MBA and founder of Timeshare CMO, a Silicon Valley-based tech start-up, tweeted out Saturday afternoon describing what middle America could do to “get more jobs in their area.”
Byerley says that the first thing those in middle America need to realize is that “no educated person wants to live in a ****hole with stupid people.” Particularly, in a “****hole” filled with people who are “violent, racist, and/or misogynistic.”
In Byerley’s opinion, “big corporations,” do not consider moving to the heart of America because “those towns have nothing going for them.”
The towns have “no infrastructure, just a few bars and a terrible school system.”
The tweet has apparently been deleted. God only knows why this woman ever thought that this would be well received. Maybe she thinks that people in flyover country don't have access to the Internet. Or maybe she thinks that there are no conservatives living in San Francisco.
Tech Exec: 'Middle America' Is | The Daily Caller
The elites on the coasts, left and right, supported policies that stripped the jobs and opportunities out of these communities, and they are continuing to do so. And then they blame the people who live there for "having nothing going for them."
There is no organic connection between being well educated and being a left winger. As people in the STEM departments can tell you, it's possible to be conservative and well educated. It's even possible to be religious and well educated. (This may come as a shock to many.) Humanities people in universities tend to be left wing because the left found a refuge there when their ideals fell apart on them back in the 1950s and '60s. They have worked to exclude conservatives from their departments, and they have been working at destroying America ever since. This woman is just a case in point, a product of the system.
Any deviant ideology can burrow into American academe. Just ask BDS supporters. It helps if they have some money to support them.
