Melinda Byerley, MBA and founder of Timeshare CMO, a Silicon Valley-based tech start-up, tweeted out Saturday afternoon describing what middle America could do to “get more jobs in their area.”

Byerley says that the first thing those in middle America need to realize is that “no educated person wants to live in a ****hole with stupid people.” Particularly, in a “****hole” filled with people who are “violent, racist, and/or misogynistic.”

In Byerley’s opinion, “big corporations,” do not consider moving to the heart of America because “those towns have nothing going for them.”

The towns have “no infrastructure, just a few bars and a terrible school system.”

The tweet has apparently been deleted. God only knows why this woman ever thought that this would be well received. Maybe she thinks that people in flyover country don't have access to the Internet. Or maybe she thinks that there are no conservatives living in San Francisco.

Tech Exec: 'Middle America' Is &#03 | The Daily Caller

The elites on the coasts, left and right, supported policies that stripped the jobs and opportunities out of these communities, and they are continuing to do so. And then they blame the people who live there for "having nothing going for them."

There is no organic connection between being well educated and being a left winger. As people in the STEM departments can tell you, it's possible to be conservative and well educated. It's even possible to be religious and well educated. (This may come as a shock to many.) Humanities people in universities tend to be left wing because the left found a refuge there when their ideals fell apart on them back in the 1950s and '60s. They have worked to exclude conservatives from their departments, and they have been working at destroying America ever since. This woman is just a case in point, a product of the system.

Any deviant ideology can burrow into American academe. Just ask BDS supporters. It helps if they have some money to support them.

Ya, those elitist scumbags talking about ****holes sure are something, huh? hehehe...

The ironic thing, calling the people on the coasts "elite' meanwhile the small town rednecks living in their little bubbles have pretended they are elite for so long. That only them are the true AMericans and the true Patriots. Completely full of it.

At least the "elitists" have facts, knowledge and education to support their positions. They have actually know, lived and worked with people of all walks of life. NOthing worse than the ignorant and uneducated thinking they are smarter and know more than everybody else and their tiny small worldview should be the only one.

It's the post-truthiness age. Anything vaguely associated with education, experience, and expertise is to be insulted. Insult theM? Nay, hang them from lampposts!

To be fair, she isn't wrong. Why pay yourself to put up the infrastructure and system to make an underdeveloped, sparsely populated area profitable when there are already major centers of industry with everything your company needs?

You also want to set up a company where the type of people you want to employ a) already live, or b) would be happy to move to. That's certainly not Kansas.

Exactly! this is why such a "commie pinko liberal" city like Boston is an economic powerhouse that draws talent from all over the world, and many corp HQ's, and a "true blue god fearing Christian' Merican "cities in the south are economic deserts.

Those Boston elitist commies must be doing something right...

I live in rural Georgia myself. The countryside is great, but I have no illusions that we'll see a tech giant setting up shop anywhere near here in the foreseeable future.

Since it was from over a year ago, I'm not surprised.

I never heard of her. Is she president? Who cares what she has to say?

Your desperate attempts to prop up this failing presidency are amusing. What's next, some liberal cab driver you met used sh**hole so now it's OK for the POTUS to cause an international controversy?

An arrogant case in point.

Failing presidency? Delusional!

Here the arrogant elites come again, calling their own fellow American citizens "deplorables" and worse while having a fat attack over a more or less accurate, if crude, description of certain nationalities. Which it's not even clear the President uttered, by the way.
