...when it comes to the Great S***hole Controversy of 2018, my feeling is: I do not care, not even a little. I’m sorry that it takes someone like Trump to break the spell of silence the Left is forever weaving around us. I wish a man like Ronald Reagan would come along and accomplish the same thing with more wit and grace. But that was another culture.”

I’m amused when people who’ve spent 50 years declaring the very concept of decency repressive and outdated suddenly start with the “have you no decency?” shtick. When Joseph Welch used that phrase, it was pretty much Peak Decency, or as we’re now told, a horrible regressive time of racism, homophobia, transphobia and xenophobia.

So here they come again, after dismissing our concerns about free speech rights and simple fairness and decency, after promoting decadency and debauchery for so long they exclaim, "What about our rights? What about decency?"

To Hell with all of them.

Apparently someone cares enough to write a whole article on it

So now the Trumpkins are embracing the public use of words like the slang term for vagina and a place in the ground to defecate and are elevating it to the level where they deem it "repressive" when the vugarity of it is pointed out when used by the president.

The liberal argument is that we can't send them back home because of the violence etc. etc. etc.

Then, liberals get bent out of shape when someone calls out these countries for what they really are.....****holes!

I have been through Central America, Western and northern Africa many times, and Somalia on the east coast.

I also spent 6 nasty weeks in Puerto Prince (two on the ground and four back onboard the USS Inchon) watching the people stealing and selling the humanitarian aid supplies right in front of the US Marines, Army, and Navy personnel during Operation Uphold Democracy. Street thugs were taking pot shots at American troops along with some factions of the Haitian Army. The USS Inchon had the 24th MEU on board. All this after doing 8 straight months in Somalia/Kosovo, and reloading the Marines all over again in Morehead City after only two weeks of finally being home.

Thank you Bill Clinton.

Perhaps with Trump as POTUS, some of the RWN Think Tanks can now reexamine Apartheid, Separate But Equal, and Racial Superiority as viable concepts to integrate into our American Society?

Some of you may have noted in LowDown's linked article, the author castigates the Left as Opponents of the 1st Amendment and the Right as Protectors of Free Speech.

In my view, no one escapes their Karma. Trump has more Bad Karma than any POTUS in my lifetime. I came into the world at the end of Ike's First Term. Count on me to celebrate the end of the Trump Era. Let us pray the Era ends sooner than later!

What do you mean "public"?

If "them" means the Trumpsters, then yes, to Hell with all of them.

I dont think anyone really has a differing opinion on just how bad those countries are, although I usually prefer the term hell hole to ****hole but I think the main issue is diplomatically its pretty faux pas for the president to say it in those terms

True.... very unprofessional, and undiplomatic.

This is the quote, "Why are we having all these people from ****hole countries come here?" In this sentence the emphasis is on people. I think most people are angry because the quote strongly suggests Trump would like to pick who immigrates to the United States based on how well their own countries are doing. That is directly opposed to the history of immigration in the United States. ****hole is just a buzz word, and less important than the actual point of the sentence.

Trump's base of voters would agree that we shouldn't have people from ****hole countries coming here. Trump knows exactly what he's saying and who the audience is he's playing to.

He didn't get elected by playing to the wrong audience. His profanity and racism play well with the right crowd.

their use made known to the public.

Oh...well that's a huge difference. How about we not have little douchers running as fast as they can to leak every little thing said for 5 minutes of fame or due to partisan hackery. If I was subjected to so much leaking I'd definitely be cleaning house way more than what Trump has done and I'd be making the Democrats sit on the sidelines of anything and everything.

So the right libertarians have something against the publics right to know what their elected officials are doing and saying? :doh:roll:

Whose side are you guys on anyway?????

Too much transparency for you? You prefer those kinds of conferences to be secret?

I don't have an issue with the right to know about actual policy but some dude saying something dumb in a closed session is completely irrelevant to anything that should be cared about.

Transparent in policy is fine. Unlike some busy-bodies, I'm not leaning over the neighbors fence to find any kind of juicy gossip I can get my hands on. If you're into that kind of thing, more power to you.

Yes he has.. Your left wing Democratic party has been calling us white guys racist pigs and more for years now. And guess what, how STUPID that was as we still out number all other races, even though with 8 years of more immigration than any sane person would ever allow. The game the left plays trying to dilute us through "diversity" is just bull****, and we get it now. So you want to play racism? Maybe you should have checked to make sure you have a majority first. :2wave:

The left created the modern form of racism we are suffering from. You made us angry white men!!!!

Not even close. Your analogy fails completely.
Every word said by everyone involved in a conference like that should be available to the public. Gossip? You're talking about something the President said to a group of top-level lawmakers, not neighbourhood gossip.
I'll never understand your kind of trust in and obedience to the government. There needs to be a damned good reason to have any secrets in government and avoiding embarrassment to the President isn't good enough.

Doing the business of the people is always included in the peoples right to know about that business being done.

Not really. It just, once again, points to the fact that Trump is dumb.

Has the media made too much of a deal out of it? I think so. There are much more important things to get upset over - Trump's idiocy and vulgarity isn't new and it isn't going to change. Cut the outrage already.

This post is exactly what the Democrats should be calling themselves! :rofl

There's your problem. Our President is not"some dude". He is the face and voice of the American people to the whole world. He has made us a bad joke.

No, there's YOUR problem. He exists to set the state of improvement of the nation. He isn't some public face of America. He was hired to do a job. He's doing it just fine. You're the one who is getting your panties in a bunch because he's saying things that make you unhappy.

You ought to grow up and knock that off.
