Tax breaks for the rich....who cares?

So let me see if I have this correct...you don't mind that those with private planes and multi-million dollar mansions are actively rigging the deck against you by bribing lobbying politicians, possibly to take away tools you use to eat and have shelter (two basic needs), just so those private plane and multi-million dollar mansion owners can make even more money which allows them to further rig the deck against you?

That's an interesting philosophy. To each their own, I suppose.

Know what I do to counteract them? I live. I survive. I do what it takes for me and mine to continue. I don't complain about it. I do what needs to be done. Considering my resources that means that I can only take care of me and mine. It's what poor people do.

Better to teach a man to fish than to feed a man a fish every day. There are many ways to care about people. I simply just don't subscribe to your way of caring. If that makes me a selfish asshole then so be it.

Yeah, yeah, yeah. I've heard all the tired, shopworn bromides a million times before. I don't disagree that people should work hard, strive to be better and not rely on gov't if they don't have to for support, but I also don't think the deck should be stacked against them in terms of tax and fiscal policy preventing programs being funded that could help a lot of people out.

Interesting. You are proud of your apathy. You don't care how the deck is stacked against you as long as you can ignore it. I am not sure that kind of complacency is worth bragging about but I can't blame you for finding your own way for dealing with things outside your immediate scope of control.

We've had those programs for longer than I've been alive. How many people has it actually helped against those stacking the deck? In case you didn't know the deck has always, and will always be, stacked against the poor. By the very nature of being poor. The only way to fight against it is to do the very thing that you just agreed with. Work hard, strive to be better. No one is actually going to help with that. Because they can't..at least not in the way that you want. Only the individual can do those things. And most will only do that when they are forced to.

The government has a duty to address the blight of income inequality.

Wealth concentrated in the hands in of a select few is individuals is detrimental to society.

Yes, and? Many people have utilized them to pull themselves up into the middle class and higher. You want to get rid of welfare that is the GI Bill? How about Student loans? How about things that simply provide for a more stable, healthy life at older ages like social security? Or should we just say '**** 'em, they failed to plan correctly!'?

And your incredibly mistaken if you think most people will only do that when forced to. People welcome the chance to change their circumstances and prospects, but sometimes they need some help. I don't have a problem with us, as a nation, collectively providing that help.

That doesn't counteract anything. You just choose to ignore it while they get richer. apathy at it's finest. And given what you have said, you aren't poor, you are just gaming the system.

And there is something that can be done which is why we need Dems back in charge to keep the wealthy in check. Trump campaigned on helping the poor and middle class but the only real thing he has done is made the wealty more wealthy and said **** you to the middle class and poor. The tax breaks mean nothing if programs to help the poor later on are cut to pay for his bribes to the wealthy.

Don't worry come 2018 we'll make Trump a lame duck president and in 2020 kick his ass out despite folks with a bad case of apathy such as yourself assuming of course he doesn't **** himself by say lying under oath and getting impeached first.

Thats the problem. You people think "Payment is due". When taxes are cut, you consider it a "cost".

Until the payment comes due and then you guys support cutting programs that the poor need.

No, actually it doesn't.

Yes it does. Your apathetic opinion means diddly and squat. You are just gaming the system and are no better than Trump's con game.

You are under the mistaken belief that I don't support welfare programs. I do. But I'm not going to complain about cuts being made to them either. I'm going to put on my big boy undies and get to work. In fact cuts should be made to it. Specifically cuts targeting those that can work, but won't work. That alone would help tremendously.

Oh and fyi...SS is not welfare. It's an entitlement since people actually pay directly into it.

Because it is in the end. Ryan and the others are already looking to cut programs to pay for the wealthy's tax break.

Funny considering Trumps tax cuts are going to benefit 80% of the population this year. Including me.

And its interesting that you consider doing what needs to be done as being apathetic.

Show me where in the US Constitution that they have a duty to ensure equity. Which is what you're really wanting. Not equality.

Short term, then Ryan and others are going to cut MORE programs for the poor to pay for the wealthy tax break.

And its interesting that you consider doing what needs to be done as being apathetic.

Actually I was incorrect calling it apathetic, you are flat out conning the system and hopefully will get caught and punished for your crimes of lying to the state about your income and property.

Public welfare. don't like it tough ****. You don't want equality, you want to con the system.

Are you really going to attempt to tell me that you've never gamed the system? Or even attempted to? :lamo

Actually no, I haven't. But thanks for your admitting your crimes.

Public welfare. don't like it tough ****. You don't want equality, you want to con the system.

Public welfare? Where is that in the Constitution?

You are right...I don't want to force equality when it comes to money. Because there is no such thing. Monetary equality is a myth.

Tell you what, I'll post exactly where it is in the constitution if you agree to leave this board. Care to put your money where your mouth is?

Actually no, I haven't. But thanks for your admitting your crimes.

So you've never attempted to use tax loopholes in order to get as much back on your returns as possible, or pay less in taxes? Never attempted to speed on the highway when you're sure there's no cops around? Never tried ANYTHING? Scuze me while I go laughing my ass off.

Oh and fyi...gaming the system through legal means is not a crime.

now...if you'll excuse me....

I don't. Why should I? Them getting tax breaks does not affect me in the slightest. They're still going to operate the same way. IE: Look out for their own best interests. And there is nothing wrong with that.

It sure does affect everyone. Deficits will soar. A reckoning will come and some will be paying. My grand kids, great grand kids and yours. Kansas was the model. They just weren't allowed to borrow to balance their budget.

Lol don't bother. I'm sure that you're going to attempt to point towards the general welfare clause. Here's a hint...it doesn't mean what you think it means.

Those examples are not gaming the system. What you are doing is flat out lying about your income and property.

It does and has. Again, you are proven wrong. Your OPINION means ****, the precedence supports my claim. Deal with it.
