The Emotional Toll of Trumpism

Global trends are in Trump's favor: nationalism, xenophobia, pushback against the expansion of gay rights, women's rights and minorities. Add to that the move toward ever-increasing wealth inequality and the pulling back of government services---let's just say that I am glad to be in my mid-50's and not in my early 20's.

She tried to keep up with Bernie with her "debt free" college ruse but, yes, she basically ran on a combination of being Obama 3.0 and I have a vagina as her positive message. With her alleged vast political experience she thought that calling Trump supporters deplorable and having a friendly press behind her would surely git-r-done.

Some deal with their emotional fatigue by writing spinning articles filled with bias-induced innuendo, hyperbole and a few lies. Some deal with it by crying and asking, "What Happened?" And some...just scream at the night sky.

She lost almost all the male vote: Black, white, Latino, Asian....that's telling. And, IMO, said tale does not prove that misogyny still dominates the landscape, but rather shows how disconnected she was from those with a penis.
 
Clinton, Sanders, and Obama are part and parcel of the old brick and mortar Democrat edifice. They're American History.

The Democrats need a new, younger, and vibrant voice with fresh ideas/ideals that strongly appeal to all the demographics Trump craps on (the 64% of Americans that disapprove).

Independents, females, college educated, seniors, blacks, Hispanics, Asians, the LGBT community, the sick, environmentalists, the middle class, etc.

Someone who is transparent, unites rather than divides, and isn't afraid to show us their tax returns.

No kissy-face friend of dictators and authoritarians, and a statesman who can regain the trust of our foreign allies and friends that Trump has kicked to the curb.

I'm not at all embarrassed. It is pretty amusing and everyone seems to be having quite a good time. Several people in my neighborhood did the same. Very cathartic.

I've always assumed the right must be utterly and totally embarrassed by Rush Limbaugh and the other gasbags they listen to.
