CLAPPER: Trump is a Russian security "asset"

It carriers zero. Nada. Nothing. It's an accusation. Say, like I'm accusing you of being a pedophile.

There is a growing mound of evidence that Trump is a Russian sympathizer and maybe even their tool - witting or unwitting.

There is no such evidence about your accusation about me.

That is a Grand Canyon of difference.

Oh look... Obama was an Hezbollah asset.

Hezbollah Smuggled Tons of Cocaine Into the U.S. During Obama Administration, Report Reveals

From article:

Project Cassandra, a campaign launched by the Drug Enforcement Administration in 2008, found that the Iran-backed military and political organization collected $1 billion a year from money laundering, criminal activities, and drug and weapons trade, according to Politico. Over the following eight years, the agency found that Hezbollah was involved in cocaine shipments from Latin America to West Africa, as well as through Venezuela and Mexico to the United States.

The Obama administration halted Project Cassandra as it was approaching the upper echelons of Hezbollah’s conspiracy in order to seal a nuclear deal with Iran, even though Hezbollah was still funneling cocaine into America. Officials at the U.S. Justice and Treasury departments delayed the project’s requests to conduct relevant investigations, prosecutions, and arrests. Obama eventually helped strike the Iran deal with several other nations in 2015.

The DEA?

And not the CIA?

Well color me surprised.

The CIA's excuse probably is this: We never know nothing about nothing, except everything about Russia, Putin, and Trump, except when we know nothing about that. But trust us because we never look the other way or collude and we're the good guys.

Reminds me of the 1980s and the cocaine scandal by the US Government that lets the cocaine come in and then arrests black drug dealers and black drug addicts. Beautiful con game you all got going.

Hey, I still admire Hezbollah though. Like the old IRA they are one of the worlds most well organized, disciplined, and capable NGO's engaged in non-conventional battle.

I'm a Russian sympathizer. I'm also a sympathizer of the Coptic Church (Oriental Orthodox communion). I'm a sympathizer of poor rural folks that have not much in material nor given celebration by others in this world, but their respect given to strangers and fidelity to Christ puts us city folks to shame.

In the years after the 9/11 attacks, Iran and Hezbollah’s influence in Latin America thrived with the help of populist leaders. Venezuela's then-President Hugo Chávez worked alongside Iran’s Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and Hezbollah on drug trade and other activities to weaken the U.S. clout in the region. Within a few years, cocaine trafficking from Venezuela to the U.S. soared from 50 tons a year to 250 tons, according to the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime Statistics.

How Vladimir Putin Is Using Donald Trump to Advance Russia's Goals

How Vladimir Putin Is Using Donald Trump to Advance Russia's Goals
By Owen Matthews On 8/29/16 at 7:00 AM

It’s easy to see why Putin views Trump’s ascendancy as a godsend—and why he mobilized his cyberspies and media assets to his aid, according to security analysts. “Trump advocates isolationist policies and an abdication of U.S. leadership in the world. He cares little about promoting democracy and human rights,” continues McFaul. “A U.S. retreat from global affairs fits precisely with Putin’s international interests.” Putin has been relatively reserved in his public support for Trump—calling him “colorful and talented,” which in Russian comes across as faint praise—but Kremlin-sponsored propaganda outlets like Sputnik and RT (formerly Russia Today) have lavishly praised Trump, tweeted #CrookedHillary memes and supported Trump’s assertion that Barack Obama “founded ISIS,” and Russia’s world-class army of state-sponsored hackers has targeted Hillary Clinton and the Democratic Party.

Russia's brazen cyberattack on the DNC servers was “a cyber psy-op,” according to Brian Whitmore of Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty. “At least one of Moscow's goals is apparently to force the United States to treat it as an equal superpower,” Whitmore wrote in the influential Power Vertical blog. “Suddenly, for the first time since the Cold War, Russia occupies center stage in a U.S. election. Suddenly, there are global headlines about the threat of Russian hackers.”

Radio Free Europe? Where have I heard that name before. Oh let me google.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Radio_Free_Europe/Radio_Liberty

Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty (RFE/RL) is a United States government-funded broadcasting organization that broadcasts and reports news, information, and analysis to countries in Eastern Europe, Central Asia and the Middle East where it says that "the free flow of information is either banned by government authorities or not fully developed".[3] RFE/RL is a 501(c)(3) corporation that receives U.S. government funding and is supervised by the Broadcasting Board of Governors, an agency overseeing all U.S. federal government international broadcasting services.[

RFE/RL received funds from the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) until 1972.[5] During RFE's earliest years of existence, the CIA and U.S. Department of State issued broad policy directives, and a system evolved where broadcast policy was determined through negotiation between them and RFE staff.

Oh yeah... RT (Russia Today) is "evil" but RFE is oh so good. Fortunately for the Russians President Obama and US intelligent never "interfered" in Russian elections. America is the good guy. Always. Jut ask Latin America.

Clapper questions Trump's fitness to hold office

August 25, 2017

When former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper questioned President Donald Trump's "fitness to be in this office" after the President's wild speech in Phoenix Tuesday night, it was likely only a matter of time before the President aimed his Twitter ire at the retired general.

Indeed, Thursday morning came the tweet from the President:

Donald J. Trump

@realDonaldTrump
James Clapper, who famously got caught lying to Congress, is now an authority on Donald Trump. Will he show you his beautiful letter to me?

In an interview, Clapper told CNN about the "beautiful letter."

"The night before the election, we deployed two teams so that we would be ready to provide a PDB brief the next morning to whomever won," Clapper recounted, referring to the Presidential Daily Briefing. "I hand-wrote almost identical short notes to each of the two candidates to accompany the first brief as President-elect; only one actually got deployed -- the one to him."

The note to Clinton, which went undelivered, congratulated her on her victory and said the intelligence community stood by to serve her with the best intelligence it could muster. The note to Trump said the same thing.

General Mark Milley Chief of Staff U.S. Army

From Gen. Milley's address October 5, 2016 at the annual meeting of the Association of the United States Army which is a private voluntary membership organization of civilians. Said one Pentagon official, "I know if I ever needed somebody’s neck broken — and they deserved it — Mark Milley is the guy to get to do it.”

LTG Clapper USAF ret. was director of the Defense Intelligence Agency. Unlike LTG ret. Flynn however, Clapper has not been charged with a felony crime nor is Clapper suspected of any crime. While Clapper as DNI clarified his response to a Senator's badly worded question, Flynn was fired as director of Defense Intelligence Agency for losing his marbles while on the job.

Clapper has a B.A. and M.A. in political science from U of MD where he graduated USAF Rotc. General Milley btw also has degrees in political science as a graduate of Army Rotc at Princeton. Both are M.A. graduates of the National War College at Ft. Leslie J. McNair in Washington DC. Clapper is a Vietnam veteran while Gen. Milley served in several combat commands in Afghanistan.

If he can spot assets... and asses... why didn’t he speak up about Obama?

That Trump is considered a Russian asset is comical. Especially when you consider the people he surrounded himself with.

I wonder... what does Trump have on Clapper besides perjury?

Speaking of surrounded you're confused with Jefferson Beauregard Sessions. There's no perjury involving Clapper nor will there be. There's no perjury against Trump either -- not yet.

Trump is gonna make a great subject under oath which is where the Mueller investigation is going naturally and inevitably.

Trump is going to swear to Mueller's investigators what wasn't is and means and what was wasn't. Trump is going to clarify under the pains and penalties of perjury what didn't was and isn't. What was was.

Trump is going to say what the truth is not of "go easy on the guy and let it go" and what it was and wasn't and doesn't mean. Trump is gonna show 'em how smart he isn't and that he's as honest as the day is long in Siberia.

We know Clapper lied under oath twice.

But the remainder of your post is a Progressive Nostradamus’ wet dream. Dreams are OK, it’s nice to dream, but dreams aren’t reality.

Reality: Clapper lied under oath twice.

Reality: Trump is easily the most pro-American president we’ve had since Reagan.

We should have just let the terror attack go ahead without warning them maybe??

Really?

So if I warn someone a guy is coming to rape his wife, and he says "thanks", that means I'm his bitch right? Or maybe just a decent human being...

What terror attack? Why do you think this was real? Putin often stages REAL "terror attacks" and then blames it on his enemies. There is no reason to beleive this was different.

All available evidence points to Putin’s complicity in the 1999 apartment-building bombings in Russia. Those who have tried to investigate have been killed off, one by one. I believe that Vladimir Putin came to power as the result of an act of terror committed against his own people. The evidence is overwhelming that the apartment-house bombings in 1999 in Moscow, Buinaksk, and Volgodonsk, which provided a pretext for the second Chechen war and catapulted Putin into the presidency, were carried out by the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB). Yet, to this day, an indifferent world has made little attempt to grasp the significance of what was the greatest political provocation since the burning of the Reichstag.

You mean Trump is the most pro-Russian President in history don't you? He just made patsies out of our CIA to help Putin's popularity before his re-election in March. How does that make America look good? Putin is a murderous monster who cannot be trusted.

Trump?s Putin Bromance Is Making Americans Pro-Russian

The Russians were looking to see what Trump did in the USA, and Russians used this to elect Putin?

ROTFLOL... That’s funny. Putin has no problem rigging his own elections... Sorry, but your comment is really funny.

If there’s CIA reading through www.debatepolitics.com and they stumble upon this, they’re probably spitting out their coffee in fits of laughter.

I was clear with what I typed.

You Leftists are odd. Well... not really... you’ll do anything for political expediency:

You’ll vote to send troops to war and then stab them in the back when they need your support most. That’s as vile as it gets. Vietnam... Iraq...

You’ll spend decades defending Communists/Russians... and then you’ll turn when it seems to suit your objectives.

It wasn’t a Republican who sought Soviet assistance to win an election... it was none other than Dead Kennedy.

You’ll launch a “reset” with a Staples “Easy” button... and you’ll “tell Vladimir I’ll have more flexibility after the election”. This from Alynsky trained radicals... And Trump is the Russian’s patsy? ROTFLOL...

You’ll create a fake dossier to elicit an investigation into Trump... in an effort to overturn an election.

You folks are the lowest of the low. You can’t take losing, and you have proven you will do anything to win.

Wrong UR; it is not the possibility that Trump, or the CIA helped to prevent some attack BUT rather the fact that Trump is a Russian agent sitting in The White House

Trump's campaign slogan should have been 'Make Russia Great Again' ..................

Trump's a Russian agent? Really? People thought the John Birch Society was crazy when they said Eisenhower was a Russian agent. Sure you want to travel down that same path?

Clapper did NOT say that Trump is Russian agent. He said that Putin is handling him like he would a Russian asset.

So the Russian government, in an effort to gin up political support, leaks fake information about a terrorist plot that is picked up by the CIA, who in turn warns the FSB about it, and who in turn breaks up the plot, to great donestic cheer.

But if its all about Putin's reelection, why involve the CIA? Arent these the guys who figured out the Russian plots during the 2016 election? Wouldnt it make more sense by Putin to keep such skuldudgery inhouse?

Putin is showing the Russian people that he has the CIA working for them now and he is the hero for arranging that. For nearly 100 years the CIA has been the enemy now he has them wrapped around his finger.

James Clapper, a known liar, pointing fingers at Trump, another known liar.

If Trump the nightmare were a bad dream that would be good.

Meanwhile there are strong arguments that Clapper was asked a question during the open hearing by the Intelligence Committee that properly is asked in closed session only. Clapper has not been charged with anything based on the questions and the answers of the moment....

It is not clear if Clapper sought to deliberately mislead the public or simply sought to preserve the confidential nature of an operation too complex to be revealed in a “yes or no” answer.

About a month after Snowden’s flight and NSA disclosure, Clapper sent a letter to California Sen. Dianne Feinstein, then Chairman of the Select Committee on Intelligence. Clapper sought to admit his “mistakes,” apologize, and “set the record straight.”

Clapper, in his letter, claimed that he mistakenly answered Wyden’s question about surveillance on Americans with a response addressing aspects of a separate surveillance apparatus geared towards foreigners. (Clapper claimed in the letter that he had testified that NSA may have only “inadvertently” spied on Americans, while the real aim was to spy on foreigners.)

Clapper’s letter, moreover, underscored the “challenge of trying to give an unclassified answer about our intelligence collection activities, many of which are classified.” He went on to make note that he only then could “openly correct” himself as the NSA surveillance operation had then been declassified.

Clapper did not provide an accurate answer to a specific question about NSA spying. Claims about Clapper’s testimony, however, warrant intense scrutiny because of the fact that Clapper was effectively asked to confirm details about a high profile, classified operation for national security and anti-terror purposes. Trump’s claim that Clapper “got caught lying to Congress” is thus unsubstantiated.

Check Your Fact

Unsubstantiated by Trump and you to include a swarm of other rightwhingers. Neither has anyone claimed Clapper is a dupe of Putin. We recall Clapper said Trump is a Putin security asset and that Trump is not fit to be Potus. Which means youse over there are gonna disapprove of James Clapper. This we know. Saying Reagan and Trump in the same breath must be tough to get out over there.
