Doug Jones Doesn't Hate Trump Enough

Lol

I can appreciate where the Op was coming from but I must say there have been some pretty witty replies from the naughty side.

Actually a little taken aback. They might have a sense of humor.

It's always their last resort.

Now that is an obvious troll comment. Because no honest person could actually say that with a straight face.

Of course you'd say that. It proves my point.

Trump is nice all the time. This is the one time some left winger acknowledged it.

Except when he's calling people losers, haters, dumb, slobs, low lifes, liars, terrible, nasty, weak, dopey, lightweights, puppets, insecure, crazy, clown, etc, etc, etc. Or how about when he mocks disabled people, makes general stereotypes about millions of people, or attacks our allies?

You seem to be completely delusional and should seek treatment.

Wow, this will not sit well with the liberal base. He's willing to give credit to Trump for being nice. He clearly doesn't hate Trump enough for their taste. They will be apoplectic.

Sometimes rabid right partisanship is silly, sometimes fairly pathetic...

Dunno which part of the 'liberal base' you refer to, but this part has given Trump credit when it was due (it just really isn't due much). Jones should kiss Trump on the lips (tongue optional) for without Trump, Jones stood a snowball's chance. Remember the Breitbart firebrand made this a referendum on Trump. Trump, Bannon, and Moore tied the election to getting a Trump agenda supporter into the senate. Ooops...

Some of 'we' see Trump as the gift that will keep giving during the next election cycle at the very least. I'll wager the liberals will love Trump more than the GOP candidates very soon.

I don't think there will be the same level of backlash Gov. Christie got for thanking Pres. Obama for help during hurricane Sandy (when 'fellow' Republicants wanted to deny federal aid)

But momma says the rabid right is as rabid right does... :peace

LOL. You must be joking.

I imagine that you guys never hear about or see it in any of what you read or watch in your preferred media. Nor does your Manichean world view admit to the possiblity. But, yes, Trump does nice things all the time.

For example:
  • Cut funding to sanctuary cities.
  • Cut travel from certain terrorism supporting countries.
  • Withdrew from the TPP
  • Approved the Keystone and Dakota Access pipelines
  • Got Judge Goresuch approved.
  • Restricted lobbying by former officials.
  • Adopted pro life policies.
  • Promoted training in trades and apprenticships
  • Praised the American Legion Boys and Girls Programs
  • Promoted economic confidence in a number of ways.
  • Promoted advocacy for small businesses
  • Approved changes in military policies that drove ISIS from Iraq
  • Etc...

Of course, it might depend on what you think is "nice."

But beyond that he's often nice in the ordinary sense of the word. He's famously very nice to people he meets and enjoys chatting up workers, security people, etc. He can be very charming when he meets with dignitaries and the like.

What I see is from Trump himself. Trump is constantly insulting people on his Twitter account. And you're gonna try to sit here and convince me that he's "nice"? **** outta here with that nonsense.

Specifically on the pipeline, why do you think it's "nice" when private landowners unwillingly get their land taken from them by a foreign company?

Sure, I can stipulate that he's often a jerk. But he's often nice, too, and I like his policies.

Eminent domain is a long established legal pricipal in America and all over the world. You want to take that on then be my guest.

The question should hinge on whether or not the taking was justified by the greater good. I think energy independence and economic growth are good things.

Ironically enough, one can go to China to learn what sort of nonsense happens when eminent domain law isn't strong enough:

Am I part of the liberal base?

I only care that Doug Jones is not Roy Moore.

I fully expect Doug to be an extremely conservative Democrat. I expect him to probably vote Republican on many issues. His job is to represent his constituents. But I do expect him to stand up for the minorities who elected him.

So, you would have voted for Luther Strange over Doug Jones?
