Peter Strzok who headed up the FBIs Countrr intelligence division under Obama also headed up the pre-Russia investigation.

It was recently revealed that he was removed from Muellers team and demoted to human rescources and now we may have an asnwer as to why.

Out of all the text, this one stands out like a sore thumb....

" I want to believe the path you threw out in Andy's office ( a reference to Deputy director Andrew McCabe ) that there's no way he gets elected.

But Im afraid we cant take that risk. Its like a insurance policy in the ulikely event you die before your 40....."

Except that the CNN article says, " US investigators say they have corroborated some aspects of the allegations, particularly the conversations between foreign nationals that took place as described in the reports.

It's good that Ohr was demoted. I'm not sure how that supports whatever claim you are trying to make.

He's trying his best god help him.

They are going to pretend that if we had found that a person in the FBI didn't like Nixon that this somehow would have negated all of the evidence behind watergate. Trump and his cronies will go down or stay put based on their actions and their words, not because of a text from someone that thinks he's a dumbass.

What makes it so strange is that people are getting caught for biased messages, and getting booted from the investigation. In any normal situation that should strengthen the credibility of the investigation. Instead it is being used to weave this Obama deep state conspiracy. I didn't even mention that weird nugget of information about how Ohr's wife can operate a HAM radio. Why jump through the hoops?

No they're getting caught for much more. Bruce Ohr was demoted from his position as acting assistant deputy AG, not because of " biased messaging ". He wasn't on Muellers team either.

Same maneuvering as with Roy Moore.

Once it turned out that the lady with the yearbook didn't volunteer that she'd added the date, that fact was used as an excuse to ignore and discredit the entire investigation. Thankfully, the people of Alabama weren't (just barely weren't) that stupid.


I can only hope that enough people have the basic decency to look at whatever full set of facts Mueller may or may not ultimately uncover, and not try to pretend none of it matters because dirt can be thrown at one person.

Sztrok was removed because of his messages, and Ohr was demoted because of his undisclosed meetings with Fusion GPS.

They are removing these guys. How is that proof that the investigation is crooked? If it was crooked they would still be there. How is that not obvious?

Do you care about your country? When a trusted investigator and former British agent like Christopher Steele authors a report suggesting that a presidential candidate is compromised by hostile foreign agents, are you suggesting they should ignore this?

I just don't get it. Don't you want the FBI and security agencies monitoring the activities of hostile foreign spies?

Finally, isn't it a fact that when it comes to investigators the dangerous bias is a bias in FAVOR of the suspect? An investigator will not thoroughly investigate a suspect they favor. A bias against the suspect only leads to a more thorough and motivated investigation. It's up to other bodies to weight the evidence and defense to refute it and bring up additional evidence. Our legal system is designed to be adversarial. There's the defense and there's the prosecution. It's the judge and jury that need to be unbiased. The prosecution is biased against the defendant and the defense is biased in favor of the defendant.

The investigation isn't over. The "errors" are being corrected before anything is released. I could understand outrage if the investigation was concluded, and then we found out people on the team had strong political biases, but that is not the case. We are finding out that people are being removed, mid investigation, because of political bias. Why is that a bad thing?

I may have used the wrong tone of voice for that post.
Re-read it and let me try again.

Also let me add the context of the accusations that the corrections some of the recent Trump stories are signs that the various news organizations involved are untrustworthy.

Why would Bruce Ohr not disclose a meeting with Christopher Steele and Fusion GPS if the dossier was legitmate intel worthy of the FISA courts consideration ?
Why would any association with Fusion GPS warrant a demotion from a senior DOJ position ?

And you think Sztrok was demoted from heading up the FBIs Counter Intelligence division and reasigned to human rescources because he texted mean things about Trump to his mistress ?

Really ? Sztrok is currently under a IG investigation. Is that for texting too ?

The Judge that was asigned to Michael Flynns recused himself last week but no explanation was offered as to why. Turns out he's 1 of 11 FISA judges and was the on the court back when the FBI submitted their FISA request.

Looks like the dossier is poisonous to Obama hold overs who were involved in the Russia investigation

You're going to have to ask Ohr why he didn't disclose the meetings. Not disclosing meetings seems to be the reason he was demoted.

I do believe Strzok was removed for the bias revealed in his messages. That is the reason given for him being removed.

So a judge recused himself from the Michael Flynn case seemingly because he was one of the judges that may have approved the FBI's FISA request? How is that bad?

I'm not sure how any of this is proof of anything other than people taking the correct actions. If this was a conspiracy to ruin Trump wouldn't the exact opposite of all of these things be happening? Wouldn't Ohr have stayed at his position where he has actual power, wouldn't Strzok had stayed to help dig up partisan dirt, and wouldn't that judge who approved the FISA request remain the judge of Flynn's case so he could crush him?

Every investigation into a corrupt politician is an attempt to overthrow an election? If Trump is an honest politician he has nothing to worry about. You're worried because you know he's a dishonest corrupt politician, that's why you're attacking the investigation before it's even revealed its findings. The whole thing about a smoking gun is that it is undeniably obvious with loads of provable direct facts to back it up. So how can one have a "potential" smoking gun?

Sztrok was the head of the pre-Russia investigation and after meeting with Christopher Steele and Fusion GPS in July of 2016, he launched a investigation into Russian interference and collusion between Trumps campaign and the Russia Govt

According to CNN he also used the dossier to bolster the investigation and to obtain a FISA warrant that led to the surveillance and unmasking of the Trump team. The FBIs first FISA request was made in the same month Christopher Steele met with Sztrok

The Obama adminsistration also changed a NSA rule to allow the sharing of raw intelliegence with 16 other agencies in a attempt to give credibillity to the narrative of Russian interference and Trump collusion and to facilitate a number of leaks that were meant to damage Trump politically and undermine his campaign and his Presidency

After Comey leaked details of his and Trumps meeting, a SC was set up to further investigate these allegations. Peter Sztrok was hired as one of Muellers investigators.

Over the summmer, Sztrok was removed from Muellers team and removed from heading up the FBIs Counter intelligence division and placed in human rescources.

The reason given was the existence of anti-Trump text messages between him and his mistress
I didnt buy that excuse and I dont know other person that did.
Now, we have a better idea of why Sztrok was really reasigned to human rescources and why Bruce Ohr was demoted from his position as assistant deputy AG
