Moore, who has his reputation tarnished a bit more than it already was?

Trump, who invested political capital in Moore and got his arse handed to him?

Bannon, who has essentrially lost his self imposed "King maker" crown?

How about all three?

How about seeing the big picture and realizing that the BIG losers are those that still support racist views. Like the three ring leaders listed above.

All of the above.

They are the big losers, but a secondary loser (and to a lesser degree, surprisingly) is the Republican Party. They needed to keep that seat. But this is what happens when you allow a train wreck like Trump and his alt-right troll Bannon to commandeer your party for their own sick perverted entertainment. It's time for the GOP to stand up to Trump. Sooner would be better.

I too would say its all three - but Trump the biggest loser of all as he was zero for two in Alabama over one Senate Seat. His candidate in the primary LOST. His candidate in the general LOST.

Bannon & Moore at least ended up one out of two having won there primary but lost the general.

For the Dems to win in a Deep Red State, in a SPECIAL election, elections that Dem voters usually ignore, is more than a bad sign for the GOP. It might be a bloodbath for the GOP in 2018.

It's come down to this, IMO. Many people have had enough of Trump's and Bannon's name calling, hate, division, etc. In Trump they put a non-politician in charge expecting him to surround himself with good advisers in the White House, with people who were going to help him navigate through DC politics. Instead in the White House he surrounded himself with family members and ex-media sycophants who are liars, thieves and and mean vicious people who blatantly hate certain demographics. They don't even try to hide their hatred, that's what is really scary.

Add in that instead of 'draining the swamp' he's lied about that too and filled it even more with CEO's, billionaires and Wall Street bankers.

People had enough.

Invested what political capital? Trump campaigned against Moore in the primaries, barely endorsed him before the scandal, wouldn't touch him after the scandal, and only formally endorsed him a couple days before election

Question.

Is this same senate seat up for grabs in November 2018?

How quickly will the Republicans be able to grab that seat back?

Man, Jones is going to be swamped by the next person he runs against, and there is nothing short of another cradle-robbing candidate that could possibly prevent that. It's not easy, being blue in a red state.

Explain Virginia,

People had enough.

Moore was an awful candidate, and the GOP will win his seat back. But in other states, purple states, the GOP has a big problem. And he's sitting in the WH.

How about the people of Alabama, who were denied any kind of real election on issues that actually impact them and have basically been pushed aside by the national partisan politics?

That's what I'm thinking. This isn't a monumental shift in ideology down south.
I don't think the Dems should be too confident and high-fiving each other too much.

Especially if the next election for that position is only about 11 months away.

The 2018 general election is but eleven months away and Trump gets more and more unpopular with nearly each passing season. His fall has been stunning in its scope and its speed.

If nothing changes in favor of Trump in 2018, the only question is how big of a wave will hit the GOP in November. Will it be simply a loss of seats or will it be a tsunami that takes the House from them? Because of the number of seats, I thought it nearly impossible that the Dems could gain control of the Senate next year. I still think its a very hard task. But after Virginia and Alabama - it could well happen.

And if it does, Trump may wan't to resign rather than face Dem lead inquiries that will not treat him well.

Nope, this Seante seat was vacated by Sessions (now AG), was temporarily filled by Luther Strange and is up for re-eletion or replacement in 2020.

Maybe so, but this race had nothing to do with this race as you freely admit: "the GOP will win his seat back"

Yup.
Can't argue with that ... except for the facile racist stuff.

The Dem message of yelling the 'GOP has waged a war on women' was beginning to fade. Thanks to Trump and his 'blood coming our her where ever', and 'she'll do anything for contributions', and endorsing Moore, and his own sexual misconduct allegations he has singlehandedly handed that message right back to the Dems.

If women overwhelmingly vote Dem in 2018, it might be very bad for the GOP.

I realize Moore was a highly flawed candidate but in a VERY Red State, a state that that only a year ago Trump won by 28%. Having a Dem win against anyone in a special election send up red flags for the GOP.

The people have spoken. Not a court of law. Anther witch has been burned. We can all go home put away our torches and pitch forks until the next media witch hunt.

The GOP is in about as much trouble now as they where in June of 2016, when it was speculated Hillary would slaughter Trump in the election. She was supposed to sweep the Electoral Collage in a historic landslide. Back then, like today, the narrative was how the GOP was on it's way out, a party that would never hold power agian. Then in November reality hit them like a ton if bricks when they lost in spectacular fashion.

But by all means continue to think it's a cake walk. They 2018 melt down will be hilarious. The ******s will march again, and some might even wear hats or plastic vagina costumes.

Bannon is the big looser here

The big winner, the African American vote. The Dems no longer will take it for granted. If they want the African american vote, they will need to earn it, and they did just that last night.

FOX News is a big loser.

Sean Hannity

Of course Steve Bannon's racist rebellion is the biggest loser.

Trump is now claiming that he knew Moore would never win and that's why he endorsed Strange. The race was so close. It was a nailbiter... like hell he knew Moore would lose, and if he always knew Moore would lose, why did his dumbass get so involved? Lol. He is so full of ****.
