This is a good laugh

The ignorance is profound. The last bit (around 9:00) with the swearing in with the Bible is perfect.

You got that right.

But there's worse than mere ignorance, going-on here. They (Moore's crowd) feed each other mis-information, until they all believe it. Do you think once back in Alabama, this campaign representative is going to share with Moore's followers that you don't need to swear on a Bible? No way. He's going to keep feeding them crap.

And his inability to react to Tapper? I suspect it's because since he usually remains in the Alabama echo-sphere, he's never been challenged at any significant level. He's unprepared, and out of his element.

I just spoke to one of my best friends, he lives in Deep Red Florida. Out in the sticks. I put on Facebook that Doug Jones won, he said it's disappointing that a Democrat won. I asked him privately, what he meant? How could you support Moore? Turns out he had no idea who Moore was! I can't imagine being that ignorant... SO he's telling me he didn't watch any late night tv shows, any cable news and he doesn't know what's going on in a neighboring state.

100% nailed it there, Chomsky.

I watched the Tapper interview and was simply amazed that the Moore spokeperson had NO idea what the law required as far as "swearing in" goes. The bewildered look on his face was priceless. Obviously, he never bothered to learn or verify that what he was regurgitating was in fact accurate.

Sadly, he is indicative of the average "rah-rah" Trump supporter that isn't capable of hearing information and being able to decipher its ligitimacy. They simply desire to be "told" what to think and when to think it.

In actuality, Trump mocks their ignorance everyday with his ability to convince them that anything negative about Trump is merely "fake news" and then boasts about their undying admitration for him. Talk about screwing folks and making them like it. Trump has this tactic down to an art form.

Trump has been doing this same sort of thing since the 70's. I get so tickled at all of the "Trumpophobes" who actually think that he is a "newcomer" to politics.....lol

OMG. I'm watching this now.

He said "if". He said "if", Jake! (no he didn't)

You can always cut the sheep out of the herd? WTF?

"Nobody in Alabama gets Shelby right now". HAHA except all of the people who voted for Jones, dimwit.

Moore is a "Biblically faced custom law of the Bible, the mosaic English law". WTF? I mean, WTF??

Take the whole "2-3 thousand years of our history"? WTF? WHAT THE ****?

OMG that Bible segment! Did you see the look on his face? What a stupid moronic idiot. That was embarrassing.

Okay, once again - if this is the face of the new Trump Republican Party, I'm out.

 at the end, where Tapper was asking him if he knew that you didn't have to swear on a Christian bible. It was only about 5 seconds long, where he was stunned into silence. Just had no idea. None.

"...if this is the face of the new Trump Republican Party, I'm out."

You're not alone. Since Trump took office, those who identify themselves as Republican has dropped 5 percentage points.

I think my favorite part is how not once, but twice, he tried to troll Tapper by saying "Merry Christmas" and got absolutely nowhere.

A lot of the time when a spokesperson gets owned it takes some knowledge about the specific issue, and it isn't so blatantly obvious. This is an ideal situation. Nobody can walk away from that clip without thinking this guy is just a complete moron. Great job by Tapper.

 Right?

The only "war on Christmas" is the war that these idiots are trying to manufacture. It's only purpose is to divide us even further.

Yeah, I caught that one too. If I recall, Moore said he did know at least one of the girls, but he said "if" in reference to whether he dated her, which begs the question: How could he not be sure if he dated her? How many teens did he date while in his 30s? Wish Tapper caught that one because I know he would have called him out on it.

It is a shame how some Evangelicals use it as a poke in the eye rather than an actual genuine heartfelt greeting.

I think Tapper was just so dumbfounded at the complete and utter ignorance of that man. It was breathtaking, to say the least.

It's embarrassing to admit to being a Republican when I see people like that idiot being a spokesperson for an even bigger idiot.

Not sure why you tho k this is a new thing.

Evangelicals have been like this for decades...although they are usually competent enough to not display it egregiously on national TV.

And the GOP has been courting evangelicals since the Reagan days, embracing their theocratic and anti science ideas happily.

The other one, Jane Porter who was doing an interview with Poppy Harlow on CNN was almost (not quite though) as bad. It was horrible, but kind of like watching a train wreck. It is so unbelievable how just plain stupid and uninformed his spokespeople were. These are people he and his campaign chose to speak on his behalf, and they made him look worse.
