What does this mean for Trump who pushed for Moore? Is this the beginning of the end?

It shows that Trump doesn't have as much rub as he thinks he does, and that there are a lot of Democrats that feel energized to vote.

Trump stuck his neck out for a child molester and lost. Now Republicans are thinking that maybe Trump is not as popular as he thinks he is. Trump is at 32%, should they be surprised? Dems have flipped Alabama. Republicans need to ditch Trump.

Nobody should be complacent over this and nobody should believe that if Democrats were energized to vote in this election, they will be in the mid-terms or the General a few years from now.

The fact is, is democrats have a penchant for taking a clear advantage and turning it into defeat, we have a lot of work to do.

It doesn't end here, it starts here.

To turn the tables on Trump and to begin to fight back against regressive GOP policies, it will take a hell of a lot more work.

U beat an accused child molester, without that u cant win!

Oh, I forgot the best part. Steve Bannon loses!! Steve Bannon went all out campaigning for this dirt bag. This was Bannon's way of sticking it to the "establishment" by establishment he means the non-racists conservatives. But he lost in deep red country.

Maybe it shows people didn't want to support someone who went after teenage girls. Just a thought.

Upset, are ya? Sexual harassment of teenage girls apparently was not acceptable to a sufficient number of Alabama voters. Now all we have to do is allow Mueller to finish his investigation of a serial sex offender who may have worked with an enemy of his country to attain the highest office. We will see, I hope.

Your guy beat a guy who was accused of molesting teens. Should Democrats be proud of that?

Trump who won overwhelmingly in Alabama could not get his base to follow him. That's significant. The Trumpsters didn't obey. Maybe they're starting to realize that Trump is not a good leader if he's telling them to vote for a child molester.

Yes, because Trump and Bannon did everything they could to get an accused child molester elected. Trump doesn't have the pull he thought he had. He wouldn't have stepped in unless he thought he could save Moore.

Also, this is a huge victory for Mitch McConnell in his war against Steve Bannon and Donald Trump.

He was endorsed by the POTUS, Fox News, and just about every right wing rag you can find in a deep red state. Democrats should be proud of this. Even with the pedophilia this was an uphill battle.

I think Dems need to calm down and put this into perspective: Doug Jones was up against a child diddler.

This is no cause for resting on laurels or proclaiming the beginning of the end for the GOP; it's a victory, but one that doesn't signify much except that Alabamans appear to have a grip on their sanity and ethos.

What make you think he was upset? What a strange accusation.

This isn't about pedophilia. It is about taxes, healthcare, immigration, national security. Team Blue has proven under Obama, they don't know how to run this country.

Right...so, by your own words, the fact that Moore is an accused child molester was too much of a hurdle to overcome. Which is what everyone is saying. Are you purposefully trying to not make sense or do you just not realize what you're saying?

Which means what when you have someone with credible accusations of child molestation? Your position is weird and illogical.

Maybe it shows people didn't want to support someone who went after teenage girls. Just a thought.

But Trump asked them to. Trump said, "go out and vote for Roy Moore." Trump robocalled them. It didn't work. That's incredibly damaging. It means Trump took a position that was beyond their moral threshold. So, how can they feel the same about Trump if he encouraged them to do something they thought was objectionable? This has grave repercussions for Trump.

This is how political power collapses. This is the beginning of the crumbling of Donald J. Trump. Trump is just no longer popular, even in the deep red states.

VA has pretty much always been Democrat.

Where did you get that idea?

Since 1970, there have been six Republican governors and six Democratic governors. The recently elected governor is also a Democrat.
Both Senate and the House of the Virginia State Assembly are Republican majorities at this time.

Nine women came out to accuse Moore of a being a predator. If you don't like the fact that I refer to 16 year old girls as children we are going to have to disagree.

In your dreams, mate, in your dreams - but not an unexpected denial of reality, based on your posts.

Funny that the morally depraved Trump donates to Democrats. You don't see those Democrats returning that money back to him.
