it happens all the time. Someone that is actually healthy is being told.. "you know.. a moment on the hips equals a lifetime on the hips".

Especially with women. In the worst cases it leads to bulimia and anorexia and other eating disorders.

Slut shaming is a nebulous term that is used in several different ways. A grown man learns a new use for the term, he doesn't get mad at the person who made him aware of the new use.

No one likes to get called fat or be seen as doing "fat" behaviors.. particularly women.

So any woman.. whether currently fat or skinny is going to be shamed by being associated with those behaviors.

Let me explain something to you apdst... not that I have any consideration that a partisan hack like you will listen or understand what I say, but slut-shaming is often done to women who are NOT sluts in any way shape or form. Here is a definition that fits perfectly:

Slut-shaming is the practice of criticizing women and girls who are perceived to violate expectations of behavior and appearance regarding issues related to sexuality. Examples are violating dress code policies by dressing in perceived sexually provocative ways, requesting access to birth control, having premarital, casual, or promiscuous sex, engaging in prostitution, or when being victim blamed for being raped or otherwise sexually assaulted.

Oh, and apdst, before you try some other type of dishonesty, notice the word that I placed in bold? That's called a QUALIFIER. So if you try to use the definition to dishonestly claim that slut-shaming can only be done to a prostitute or such, I have already demonstrated... as did the definition... that it is done to plenty of women who are not sluts at all.
