If you want me to take you seriously as a woman, cut it off, then we can have a conversation. Your still biologically male or female so you'll have a hard time swaying me, but at least you'll have my ear and sympathies.

Ridiculous and not sure how anyone can justify this It's a dude who decided he wants to be a woman competing against other women as a dude.
 
I guess if Mike Tyson decided 30 yrs ago to take some Meds change his name to Cindy, he could whip up on some girls in boxing with one arm tied behind back

And the left would cheer and cheer, and scream look at how well this girl is doing

This wasn't about a martial art, it was about weight lifting; no gets 'beat up'. Your projection of your latent rage issues and tendency to violence duly noted, though.

My advice is to know what you're talking about before actually talking, but as we both know, you've never done that.

Well change the sport to boxing/ martial art...would u support it?
 
Its pretty simple for me . . .i cant speak to this case cause i dont know about it and the article doesnt say but i go with medical science and the approval board rules and regulations...

in other things there have been rules about the transitions, they have to had been going therapy for a certain amount of time and testing testosterone levels etc has to show that any concerns match that of the competitors and do not give unfair advantages. This is dont by medical professionals and then APPROVED by governing boards. .

not my place to stop them and if its done that way i have no objections...

now that doesnt mean THIS case was done that way or i support it. But if medical science states that being a man with zero therapy 24 months ago and being able to lift and build certain amounts of muscle and transitioning now and going through therapy is not an advantage i support it but that has to be proven.

bottom line i wont make a decision based on "feelings" and "assumptions" ill leave it to medical science and government boards. It is a hard sell for me though that say somebody like the rock or terry crews decides to start transitioning today that in a years time or even two that theres no physical advantage . . BUT who the hell am i? im not medical science professional.
 
Allowing men to complete in women sports will effectively end women sports for real women. Looking for a war on women? Look no further then the Democratic party.


This is actually a GOOD thing as it is yet another example of real-world application of the Left’s insanity.
Unfortunately a lot of good young women will suffer but hey, it’s all in the name of “the cause”.

I got a few laughs. It's very obvious that some of the posters did not even bother to actually read the article. They just knee jerked at the headline "Weightlifter makes history" and assumed she had won....

Laurel actually came runner up and finished second to American Olympic bronze medallist Sarah Robles.

I try to avoid threads on this issue that start off as yours did... mocking attack towards the transsexual. However, since you and I have known each other and generally gotten along for nearly a decade, I will answer.

When a male transitions to a female, breasts and genitalia are altered and the individual is given estrogen, all in an effort to help their body fall more in line with their brain... which is wired as a female. However, there is no procedure that we currently know of that can alter the natural higher level of muscle mass that an individual with a "Y" chromosome has even if they have fully transitioned to a female. Because of this, it is my position is that it is unfair for MTF transsexuals to compete as women in any activity where strength or speed is paramount and therefore, MTFs should be prohibited from participating in any official competition that focuses on such abilities.
