After Steinle verdict, rep unveils bill to imprison officials who shelter illegal immigrants

I didn't say conservatives rioted.

I said that if liberals passed a bill like THIS one - the one this thread is about - then conservatives would be rioting.

Is this what they call, 'projection'?

And I told you rioting is a liberal maneuver when they don't get their way. Conservatives use the legal system to resolve their differences.

Is this what they call "trolling"?

Semed like a legitimate question.

Of the last 100 riots on our country, how many have been committed by liberals vs conservatives?

I'm not a liberal, so I'm not sure you have any idea what I've tried to argue. Congratulations on a post that is a total fail.

Nope. You're 150% liberal. Welcome to the Liberal Collective, Komrade.

If all you wanted to say is that you don't like liberals, then fine, you've said it. Congratulations.

Typical liberal reaction, if someone disagrees with them then they must hate/dislike liberals! Sorry sport but I think liberalism is a utopian dream but I don't dislike liberals in general. There are some I can't stand but they are few. What is your next charge against us conservatives going to be?

My thoughts? Every passing day it gets harder and harder to continue to be a Republican with this kind of grandstanding.

The Steinle jury verdict was terrible. Just like the OJ verdict and the Casey Anthony verdict. Those are separate issues that need to be addressed honestly.

But back to the bill. The Republicans are now supporting the candidacy of a man who proudly ignored the laws not once, but twice, and was removed from his state's Supreme Court as a result of it. The Republicans, for the most part (including Moore), proudly and without any hesitation want and choose to ignore the laws that give same sex people the right to marry.

I'll have an interest in the Republican Party chasing after and wanting to lock up people who ignore the laws when they start looking inside themselves and their actions first.

So you say "The Republicans are now supporting the candidacy of a man who proudly ignored the laws not once, but twice, and was removed from his state's Supreme Court as a result of it.". Gee I'm a Republican and I'm not supporting Moore and I know of numerous other Republicans who feel like I do so your charge is bogus. Why do people like you want to paint all Republicans with the evil brush?

You claim to be a liberal living in Texas. You might as well say you're a woman on the Internet. Everyone knows a Texas liberal and a woman on the Internet are myths. ;)

ICE detainer requests are just that - requests issued by ICE officers with no judicial oversight. They are not warrants and do not have the force of law.

The sheriff is free to ignore them if she sees fit. If ICE wants these people that badly they need to get warrants.

Like I said before, hold them responsible for the actions of the criminal alien after their release. Make them an accessory if necessary.

Because President Trump and the RNC are supporting Moore.
Or do you assume every post or comment made is about you and you don't realize that you aren't the RNC and the "Republican" President?

I'm a Republican (a real one) and I don't brush myself as anything.

Sorry but you said Republicans not just the RNC, I am a Republican therefore you were including me in that statement. Words have meaning so when making a statement such as you did you should be specific about what you are referring to.

You're new here. When people say things like I did, everyone understands that the "Republicans" and "Republican Party" mean the RNC and the President and the lawmakers when people discuss those facts repeatedly on the board and it's in the news and in a post about a bill a Republican lawmaker has proposed. You shouldn't read every post and assume a poster is talking about you. Especially when their post is clearly talking about the Republican lawmakers, and presumably you are not a member of Congress.

Yes I am new here, where are these understanding's in print?
I have been to a lot of forums and when people say Republicans or Democrats they are referring to the entire party in general. So as I asked please be specific in your charges.

Sorry, I've been here for almost 6 years, and I won't change how I post now because you will think every post someone ever makes about "Republicans" means the poster "Old Sarge". I doubt anyone else will change for you either. Perhaps you should read the post and see if the person is talking about you specifically or not. Those posts are easy to understand, as are the ones not specifically about you.

When I post about "Republicans" I'm usually posting about the kind of Republican being discussed. In this case, it was a lawmaker. If I wanted to post about myself or other individual Republicans, that would have been clear.

Don't look for things that aren't there. You will wear yourself out.

Gee sport it seems to bother you more than it does me. I'm not asking you or anyone to change. Just be advised that I don't take any post at face value so if I don't understand what you are trying to say I am going to grill you.

Oh, you're going to "grill" me. Great. You do that, and I'll give your "grilling" the attention it deserves.

Sorry miss I didn't realize you were so thin skinned, I will treat you with kid gloves in the future as it is clear you cannot have a debate without getting emotional about it. :violin
