Jared Kushner is the "very senior member" of President Donald Trump's transition team who directed incoming national security adviser Michael Flynn to contact the Russian ambassador to the United States and other countries about a UN Security Council vote on Israeli settlements, sources familiar with the matter tell CNN.

Sources: Kushner was the 'very senior' transition member mentioned in court filing

Here we have Pence saying he's so dissappointed to learn that Flynn lied about meeting Kislyak. But Kushner told Flynn to meet with Kislyak. And it's hard to belive that Trump didn't know that Kushner ordered Flynn. And Flynn is a military guy. He knows the chain of command. He would NEVER take orders from Kushner to do something legally questionable (Logan Act violation).

So, Trump and Pence threw Flynn under the bus. They knew Trump ordered Flynn to meet with Kislyak. No need to prove collusion. That theater of lying and throwing Flynn under the bus, while not illegal, is shockingly dishonest and immoral.

Does anyone here really believe that Kushner acted alone? Does anyone belive that Trump didn't know? Did Pence know?

Everything that Trump said on February 16th was a lie. You can rewatch this with the understanding that Trump was lying to the American people.

Trump says, "That was unacceptable to me." How is that possible when he himself ordered Flynn?!

It doesn’t matter, meeting with Kislyak wasn’t illegal.

Kushner could confirm that and Mueller couldn’t do **** about it

It's not illegal. But if Trump told Flynn to meet with Kislyak, then fired him for it to protect himself, that's political death. Maybe you're OK with your president lying and having someone else take the blame for his lies but I don't think most Americans are.

Most people can't understand the complexities of the Russia investigation but they can understand that Trump threw Flynn under the bus to save his own butt. They can understand that Pence was in on the lie.

There's enough obstruction of justice stuff regarding the firing of Comey to give Congress an excuse to get rid of Trump. Trump knew Flynn lied to the FBI which is felony yet Trump fired Comey for not ending the investigation. That's obstruction of justice.

Secretly, most Republicans hate Trump anyway. Now they have an excuse that American can accept and understand.
