Meanwhile, the only proof offered that Fred Trump (21 at the time) was actually KKK was a citation by VICE magazine from one paper, the "Long Island Daily Press" which alleged all seven arrestees were in Klan costume.

Another article about the rally, published by the Long Island Daily Press on June 2, 1927, mentions that there were seven arrestees without listing names, and claims that all of the individuals arrested were wearing Klan attire.

Trump Junior wasn't born until Jun 14, 1946, 19 years later when his father was 40 years old. So it is more likely than not Donald Trump would not be aware of any racist issues, since the allegation his father was KKK is pure speculation and even if true? Much can change in a young man's attitudes from the age of 21 to 40 by the time Donald was born.

I didn't put much effort into it because:

1. After researching, I found that the only thing so far proven "fake" was the allegation that the individual beating up the crippled kid was a recent migrant. The Dutch sources only state the attacker was a Dutch citizen, which does not disprove that he was either of Middle Eastern descent or a Muslim. We have a number of American citizens in the USA who are both of Middle Eastern descent and remain Muslim who turn out to feel and act like this Dutch "citizen" does.

2. I neither follow Trump on Twitter (I don't use any social media aside from this Forum and YouTube), nor always agree with what he say's or does...so I don't always feel the need to come to his defense.

DJT enjoys massive support from every day normal Americans because he has witnessed the left and globalists crap on the nation for years. Prior to his election, 1200+ leftists were driven from office. This happened for a reason and that reason is normal Americans have lost patience with the kook left which has essentially become a malignant tumor, slowly eating away at American culture and everything decent.

Actually I did not respond to the OP...

I responded to a subsequent post alleging Trump WOULD know about the KKK because his daddy was a racist member. Citing the story of a 1927 march where Fred Trump was one of seven people arrested, but also the only person not charged...indicating he was an innocent bystander...but quoting one news report that all seven arrested wore clan outfits. It was the ONLY such report of the incident to allege this.

Because...as this is the U.S.A. and not some 1984 totalitarian state, I have no problem with people of differing political views and ideals voicing their support for someone.

YOU might think this is indicative of some sort of "collusion" between people of like mind. I simply think of it as them trying to get some "respectability" by pretending he is of the same mind as they just because of his immigration stance. :shrug:

I'm neither white nor do I consider myself "racist," yet I support tougher immigration laws and am rightly concerned about the particular threat of Muslim terrorism.

There's a lot you don't have a problem with then. David Duke is an evil douche-bag. Can you say that? This is the same problem that Trump has and it's why people think they are in cahoots. There's a point where this ignorance is no longer innocent. Whether you are best friends with David Duke or not. Especially since you don't think the anti-muslim videos are fake and are essentially uttering the same crap that the WH used to defend the tweets. Besides for the "freedom excuse," the question is why?

I can say I don't agree with racist ideology, regardless of which race is advocating it.

I don't believe I am in a position to call him "evil" just to win points with you, or to buy into any argument we can thereby deny his free expression.

I can't because I don't believe in demonizing someone in order to dismiss them from consideration of any rational argument in response...as well as to then condemn them and grant license to lynch them to cleanse the world of their "evil."

That is the way of Anitfas, BAMN, and every other witch and demon hunters in history. It is also the way of totalitarian thought.

WORDS have no effect unless you give them power over you. As long as his words are not followed by deeds which require self-defense...he is free to spout his crap as long and hard as he wants...and I remain free to counter them with my own words.

So, that's how a Democrat was able to con the Republican Party and get them to nominate him as their candidate! Trump really is a good conman. No one else has accomplished so great a hoax.
