Why the white privilege argument is pure bull**** [W:107]

I do. I read the crappy essay it's based on. It's one of the stupidest things I've ever read. Do you know the name of it without Googling?

No, clearly you don't, and it's 'based' in reality, something you clearly don't have a taste for.

Is this supposed to really represent "white" America?

Even in Milwaukee whites actually live in a greater number of areas, most of which don't have as nice (or costly) of housing as that (or the condos of Third and 5th Wards), and many of which live in a bit more racially mixed areas. A bit more. It depends on the neighborhood. Whites living in the Riverwest neighborhood live around a lot of Black-Americans and Puerto Ricans, and a lot of other traffic through their. The housing is not as nice nor as expensive either. These are very liberal, young kind of whites. There is a good amount of break-ins and robberies in the Riverwest neighborhood too. Not the worst area but not the safest or most crime free either.

So, I say that to say this: That BBC show didn't depict the whole of white Milwaukee but only selection of it to provide an image to make its own point. The actual picture is not as narrow or simple. But nonetheless, overall, whites in Milwaukee do much better than blacks. (Excepted black African immigrants maybe.)

Victims Describe Mob Scene In Riverwest

Maybe they have hostile attribution bias and assume things are racial discrimination when they aren't? Have you ever questioned a claim of racism from a single one of them?

Of course. Often, in fact. But I'm less dismissive of a chorus of voices from people whose experiences are distinct from my own. It's wise to always reconsider your own positions when faced with new information. None of us have the complete picture from our singular vantage points.

OK you can't name the crappy essay the term was coined from. I didn't think you could.

Please don't preach something you've never read and studied the ideology behind before throwing it in people's faces.

So you blindly believe people because they have a different color skin you do? Sounds like a common flaw among white liberals. I did that as a youth, however I learned better.

Never put anyone on a pedestal and blindly believe them because of their skin color.

Don't put people on pedestals and assume that every beef they have against white folks is founded on a legitimate claim. You're going to find a lot of it is a reflection of their own anti-white bigotry and tendency to claim that slights and disagreements with white folks are necessarily an outgrowth of white racism. Unfounded accusations and racial conspiracy theories are not "new information." They are suspect at best and racist propaganda at worst.

Dinesh D'Souza's behavior throughout the years is a prime example of white privilege itself. It is part of a trend of minorities to include people like Ben Carson, Herman Cain, Michelle Malkin, and others to throw their fellow minorities under the bus in order to ingratiate themselves and become more acceptable to conservative whites by denying that minorities are treated differently than white people by society: something that is an obvious fact of life to 99 percent of minorities. And that's before we get into the fact that D'Souza is not only a criminal and but a well known conspiracy theorist.

White privilege exists. There is a ton of academic research and evidence for it, **** you could look up if you simply know how to Google. And there is no more obvious example of white privilege than the flaming idiot manchild currently occupying 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, compared to his predecessor.

The defense rests its case.

Is your chain of command holding you back? Slower to get promoted; more **** details than white soldiers?

"Go Google" isn't a defense of anything.

Try that on a college campus and get laughed all the way to a 1.0 GPA.

I'm sure if he's lagging in promotions, it has nothing to do with his attitude or behavior. It HAS to be white people!

I don't need to name any essay, and I'm aware of what you're referencing. It's irrelevant to the simple fact that white privilege exists and you're unable to cope with that reality.

What's got you so frightened?

What part of "none of us have the complete picture from our singular vantage points" do you fail to comprehend? That does not equate to "blindly believe them because of skin color." Blindly disbelieving because of skin color is equally fallacious. Everyone operates from some degree of ignorance. Yours is on display in the quoted post.

You do as that's where the term originates and where the term is defined.

Trying to deflect and posit that I am "frightened" isn't an argument but is a cheap attempt to get the heat off your back for why you can't name the origin of a concept you blindly accept as gospel.

You can't name where it come from and what defines it, let alone that it "exists."

I'd suggest more rigorous research on your part before falling in to a popular social movement.

So wait, if you disagree with white privilege as a minority, that's a prime example of white privilege? Is it or is it more of an example of left wing racism when those minorities don't act and believe as you believe they should act

As a former liberal who is white, I've seen a very common mentality among white liberals which I described above.

"But I'm less dismissive of a chorus of voices from people whose experiences are distinct from my own."

You said it.

That's his shtick. post one or two lines of no substance then claim you are suffering from a negative emotion due to it.

Ah, you mean reasonableness and self-reflection. Yes, those are qualities more common among liberals. We agree.

No surprise. You have to be pretty out of it to blindly believe in racist myths like "white privilege."

Ah, you mean reasonableness and self-reflection. Yes, those are qualities more common among liberals. We agree.

Ah, ideological self-pleasuring. Common with liberals.

You specifically said you're less dismissive of a number of voices of people with different experiences than you have.

In other words, you're prone to blind belief of minorities due to their skin color.

The concept of 'white privilege' is a beyond retarded stupid argument promoted by agenda driven leftists. Luckily for those agenda driven leftists, there are plenty of weak minded leftist sycophants ready willing and eager to suck it up.

'Privilege', however...is real. Not only real but desirable. Was Donald Trump privileged? Hell yes. Was Obama? Sure...though not to the extent Trump was. Are Sasha and Malia Obama privileged? Hellz to the yes and good on them! Privilege is what every couple and family should STRIVE for. You dont have to be RICH to have privilege...though if we are being honest...its aiiiight. What you need are caring parents that provide a stable home life and your basic survival needs, incentive and opportunity to gain an education, and a fair amount of drive to succeed. Anyone that is ashamed of or embarrassed by the fact that their mothers and fathers, or grandmothers and grandfathers, or however far back you want to or can go in their lineage...busted their ass, worked to provide them a stable home with opportunity for growth and progress...CELEBRATE that ****. If your parents didnt? Thats on them. If you didnt or arent? Shame on you. You are a **** parent.

Semantic arguments are boring. "Less dismissive" and "blind belief" are not equivalent. Neither are "chorus of voices" and "skin color." You're sure you're not just hearing what you want to hear? Perhaps other of your stances are based on the same misunderstanding of language? Learning begins with listening. I still believe there's hope for you, former liberal.

We fought a couple wars over dynastic privilege. Your side lost.

Yet again more irrelevancy.

Yes, you're quite clearly frightened of the reality that white privilege exists and there's no heat on me, especially coming from you. What an absurd conceit.
You can't name where it come from and what defines it, let alone that it "exists."

I know where the term was coined. It's irrelevant to the fact that it exists. I've already offered up what defines it in earlier posts. Clearly you're so scared you're not paying attention.
I'd suggest more rigorous research on your part before falling in to a popular social movement.

I'd suggest you actually know what you're braying about before braying.

That's his shtick. post one or two lines of no substance then claim you are suffering from a negative emotion due to it.

I can see you're still suffering from that last time you had your 'arguments' dismantled and were forced to run away.

That tail between your legs bit is a good look for you.

:lamo

What exactly do you see as ‘my side’?

Sorry pal. ANYONE that uses a race delineator to describe ‘privilege’ is as much a moron as anyone that would try to describe all black Americans based on the actions of a statistically significant portion of their number. We call people like that ‘bigots’.

Are you a bigot, Joe?

So you're watering it down and saying it's OK to be "less dismissive" of comments from people on their skin tone instead of blindly believing? Does that make you feel better?

Yes, I like learning. That's why I'm a former liberal. Former.

You can't claim someone is "frightened" of a reality you can't prove exists. This is childish.

You shouldn't tell people to know what they're braying about before braying when you're here defending a concept you haven't actually studied and don't know where it comes from, who it comes from, and how they define it.

Speculating someone has this "emotion" of fear is hilarious. I take it you find it therapeutic?
