National Review has been a never-Trump organ from the get-go, and yet they published this:

The day after Donald J. Trump defeated Hillary Clinton, Princeton University economist Paul Krugman called Trump’s victory “the mother of all adverse effects.” He predicted “very probably . . . a global recession, with no end in sight.” . . . The Dow Jones Industrial Average, NASDAQ, and S&P 500 all hit record highs on Tuesday. [The market is booming, US and global GDP is up.] So much for a Trump-inspired “global recession.”

Unemployment is at 4.1 percent, a 17-year low. New unemployment claims in September were at their most modest since 1974. Goldman Sachs on November 20 “lowered our unemployment rate forecast to 3.7 percent by end-2018 and 3.5 percent by end-2019.” According to the Wall Street powerhouse’s chief economist Jan Hatzius, “Such a scenario would take the U.S. labor market into territory almost never seen outside of a major wartime mobilization.” . . .

• For every new regulation that Trump has imposed, 16 have been erased.

• The FCC has begun to dismantle Obama’s “Net Neutrality” takeover of the Internet, which functioned marvelously, thank you, before his needless e-power-grab.

• Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch is on the bench, along with 13 constitutionalist lower-court judges. At this stage in Obama’s presidency, the Senate had confirmed just seven of his district- and circuit-court nominees.

...The Never Trump faction still claims that the president of the United States ‘is no conservative.’ And yet, with rare deviations (such as free trade), he spends nearly every day implementing the conservative agenda. Ideas that center-Right activists have demanded for decades are becoming public policy, one after another — to the pleasant surprise of even some of Donald J. Trump’s most enthusiastic supporters.

It seems that the focus on Trump's tweets and pronouncements have little to do with what he is actually doing. While the media is having a fit about what Trump just tweeted or about a fight he got into with someone Trump has been dismantling the bureaucracy, reshaping the courts, and boosting the economy.

Well I’m not sure what Trump has accomplished in so much as that hasn’t done anything and thus hasn’t ****ed anything up.

Obama's presidency ended with a 4.6% unemployment rate. Lauding Trump for dropping it another .5% is just partisan hackery.

Trump just might get more of his agenda moving forward should his silly Twitter slap fights stop overshadowing it in the news (political propaganda) media.

Sometimes he's his own worst enemy.

Well, in fairness, he did really screw up the Obama recovery.

The Stock Markets have all risen like a rocket since Trump was elected.

The DOW's rate of increase is about ten times greater vs. the rate of increase over the previous decade.

I think the whole country has something to be thankful for. The nation is doing well and that's always a good thing.

I'm predicting that there will be a significant market correction within the next 12 months. When stock valuations exceed the future potential earnings of the underlying assets, you get an overheated market/bubble that will deflate. Just another form of irrational exuberance.

Predicting a downturn is never a bad strategy in investing. Hope for the best- plan for the worst.

The Stock Markets changes seem to be more a measure of hope more than confidence.

If the Congress bungles the Tax Reform, a bungle that looks likely, you could be right. They bungled it under Reagan, but retrieved it a year or two on. They seem poised to bungle it again. I'm not sure they will recover this time.

Trump directed them to make it simple, make it big.

They are making it complex and puny and all because they are bought-and-paid-for drones of the lobbyists.

It would be nice if they could just do the thing they have been charged to do without the infighting, bribe taking and grudge satisfying habits they ALWAYS employ. It's like a kindergarten of petulant tyrants.

Paul Krugman is a reactionary and has very little credibility left. His mistaken "prediction" just goes to show how out-of-touch is is with reality today.

That is specifically true since the 6 to 8 months of a presidency is not due to the actions of the current president, but rather momentum from the previous years budget/polices.

Let's talk next year, particularly let's see the fallout because Mexico is getting a lot of their corn/wheat from Argentina next year, instead of the U.S.

In spite of Obama.

Do you not see how incredibly pathetic you're acting? You're changing your opinion of near identical circumstances based solely on the party affiliation of the president. Trump is the reason the economy is improving, but when it improved just as much for 8 consecutive years its "despite" Obama.

Pathetic in your eyes, and yet factual when checked against the statistics, and journalistic reports from economists.

I lean left on many issues................so spare me the party affiliation comparison to further your argument.
