Trump tweets at Kim Jong Un...

Oh.

My christ.

giphy.gif

Ah...

Great diplomat expressing well reasoned positions.

I can see why you present her as your ideal.

The ridiculous behavior is caring what Trump tweets.

No one would care, if dupes hadn't elected the moron president. If you find his tweets embarrassing, consider what that says about his leadership, then reconsider your support for him.

And however did they do it without childish and embarrassing Tweets?

By the way, we are talking about the Office of the United States, not an actor in Hollywood who gave us stories.

Presidents use the communication channels they have available.

Fireside Chats were considered to be too casual to be made by the President.

It's what he does. It's new. It's innovative.

It's an additional dimension of his communication- not the only one.

It was more in response to the "haters and losers" reference in the post before me than to the OP. Trump, in a series of tweets, is trying to forge an alliance with Putin, a foreign dictator who, according to our best intelligence, has and continues to wage cyber-war on the United States. He's Hanoi Donald, offering aid and comfort to our enemies in response to direct attacks against us.

Meanwhile, he keeps childishly antagonizing one of other sworn enemies and offering vague threats of nuclear war. He's a danger to the United States and to the world. The day he gets taken away in handcuffs will become an international holiday.

So, to be clear, the guy with the missiles launching them over Japan is not the danger.

The guy trying to stop the missiles from being launched over Japan is the danger.

Got it!

Is the cop stopping the killer the bad guy, too?

I don't find his tweets embarrassing, I find the people running around in circles screaming about them embarrassing.

Trump is uniquely American in his communication and actions.

This is American humor. Sarcasm at its best.

Kim is a posturing, prancing pretender and Trump is calling him on it. I thought it was interesting that the jab may have included references to the first two A-Bombs: Fat Man and Little Boy.

Trump is also working the diplomatic channels to isolate the little fat boy internationally. As always, Trump is playing 3D Chess and Liberals are judging him using the rules of Checkers.

The Dems are hysterical. There is nothing funnier than watching idiots trying to figure something out.

I mean, you can't really debate with this level of delusion.

Care to describe the actions of Trump's predecessors that eliminated the dangers now posed by North Korea?

I can if you are actually interested. I suspect you are not, but I can summarize...

Trump's predecessors worked within the context of their times and none of them sought to shove North Korea in a corner to provoke a response even before they went nuclear. Now that they have gone nuclear, Trump thinks its a good idea to corner the North Korean egomaniac through mindless and childish Tweets? North Korea gets more dangerous with every stupid Tweet. Kim Jong-un will feel the need to respond to this one too because that is what egomaniacs do. One day, perhaps the dictator will tire of Trump's foolishness and respond in another way (though a doubtful launch).

Do you know what a self-fulfilling prophesy is? It's the obnoxious insistence of a false definition of a situation, thereby evoking a new behavior in the situation, which eventually makes the original false conception come true. Kim Jung-un will not surrender his arsenal. The U.S. military will not invade a nuclear country that will default to a launch to save itself. And Kim Jung-un will more than likely not arbitrarily launch first, thereby inviting his death and his nation's annihilation. So...wtf is the Twittering crap about? It's to pump up the fans bruh!

The world is not a 1980s action movie. You may be impressed by cheap bravado, but I want serious leaders who are capable of self-control.

All things considered, I would have preferred a casual tweet to an invasion of Iraq.

But this is not about Iraq. This is not about anything other than Trump's childish behavior right now.

I don't find his tweets embarrassing because I don't pay attention to them. I feel sorry for people that live their life to scream at the sky, like you do.

Have you noticed that if Trump stopped tweeting, the news rags would have nothing to report on?

If it were not for the fact that Trump is the president, it would be kind of funny. The irony of course is that Trump is tall and fat.

I believe you are right.

We spent an entire Cold War towing a careful line when it came to the Soviet Union, who was just as cautious, careful, and responsible not to provoke us. The details of the Cuban Missile Crisis prove this alone.

Trump has decided that it is a good idea to play a game of public insults with a nuclear-armed loose cannon who launches rockets into the Sea of Japan as a way to display his self-prescribed majesty. This is neither responsible, nor smart.

Is the "cop" actively advocating the "police force" have closer ties with the Russian Mob?

We've been watching idiots try to figure something out for a year now. Like how to govern and how to get a bill through Congress....you know, that unimportant stuff.

He's the leader of the free world... What he says, no matter which medium he chooses to say it in, does matter.

The fact that this is your glorious deflection on his behavior is pretty entertaining.

He's the leader of your country, your mouthpiece to the world and the fact that you don't think his behavior reflects badly upon the country and isn't at all embarrassing is a pretty strange position to take.

No ones screaming at the sky about it, jesus go and find the youtube video of all 9 people doing it, that's all very nice, but the fact is, is that it does matter that he tweets like a stroppy teenager

It doesn't really matter how much YOU personally don't think it matters.

But it is not about his Twitter account. It is how he uses it.

The problem with this perspective is that former presidents used the microphone and speeches to tell the world of America's intent or ideal. They used back channels and direct lines to talk to other leaders on the private. They did not deliver off-the-cuff international insults as a matter of diplomacy. Trump also has the option to present the Office in a professional manner. Instead, he has decided to toss out emotional and inappropriate outbursts on investigations, judicial proceedings, international diplomacy, and matters of war (with the SECDEF having to play damage control). Part of the problem is that his obnoxious "fake news" crap has led him down this path and he continues to pretend that the people can't get the truth unless Trump Tweets.

Let's look at some examples of his not-at-all embarrassing tweets through the years:

An 'extremely credible source' has called my office and told me that @BarackObama's birth certificate is a fraud.

Yep. Clearly, this guy has the goods.

Robert Pattinson should not take back Kristen Stewart. She cheated on him like a dog & will do it again--just watch. He can do much better!

Robert I'm getting a lot of heat for saying you should dump Kristen- but I'm right. If you saw the Miss Universe girls you would reconsider.

Long before the election, Trump was showing us all why he is presidential material.

.@ariannahuff is unattractive both inside and out. I fully understand why her former husband left her for a man- he made a good decision.

Classy stuff there. Not at all embarrassing.

The election is absolutely being rigged by the dishonest and distorted media pushing Crooked Hillary - but also at many polling places - SAD

Very wise of Trump to play the pre-emptive victim card. 3D chess, indeed!

I refuse to call Megyn Kelly a bimbo, because that would not be politically correct. Instead I will only call her a lightweight reporter!

Admirable restraint, Mr. President.

26,000 unreported sexual assults in the military-only 238 convictions. What did these geniuses expect when they put men & women together?

Trump has personal knowledge of just how bad it can get when you put men and women together. Just ask Billy Bush!

The concept of global warming was created by and for the Chinese in order to make U.S. manufacturing non-competitive.

4 out of 5 dentists agree, brushing you teeth causes genital warts!

Sorry losers and haters, but my I.Q. is one of the highest -and you all know it! Please don't feel so stupid or insecure,it's not your fault

Look at the big brain on Brad!

The U.S. cannot allow EBOLA infected people back. People that go to far away places to help out are great-but must suffer the consequences!

Yeah. F*** those people!

.@krauthammer pretends to be a smart guy, but if you look at his record, he isn't. A dummy who is on too many Fox shows. An overrated clown!

Seriously, the guy said Trump didn't win a debate. What a maroon!

Lightweight Senator @RandPaul should focus on trying to get elected in Kentucky--- a great state which is embarrassed by him.

I truly understood the appeal of Ron Paul, but his son, @RandPaul, didn't get the right gene.

Truly weird Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky reminds me of a spoiled brat without a properly functioning brain. He was terrible at DEBATE!

Rand Paul is a friend of mine but he is such a negative force when it comes to fixing healthcare. Graham-Cassidy Bill is GREAT! Ends Ocare!

Keep your friends close and your enemies closer -- and switch them around at will!

.@FrankLuntz is a low class slob who came to my office looking for consulting work and I had zero interest. Now he picks anti-Trump panels!

Good God, man. How many of these things can there be?

@MeghanMccain wanted me BIG TIME. But too fat and ugly- and a wimp like her dad!

OK, this one isn't real, but, be honest, you couldn't tell the difference, right?

Obama is, without question, the WORST EVER president. I predict he will now do something really bad and totally stupid to show manhood!

I'll give Trump credit. He's beaten Obama at his own game.

I don't find his tweets embarrassing, I find the people running around in circles screaming about them embarrassing.

Were he still a reality TV show host, then there would be nothing embarrassing about his tweets. In fact, most of us would not care at all about his tweets. Now that he has become the Twit in Chief, suddenly his absurd tweets are in the news. Go figure.

Oh, go ahead and give it a try.

If nothing else, it will be fun watching you try to figure it out.

Could just be ANOTHER component to the negotiation that is ongoing involving the unanimous condemnation from the UN, the bi-lateral negotiations with the North Korean regime's international supporters and this back channel tweet tweaking.

Until Trump, Kim was living in hi9s delusion with nobody holding up a mirror for him to see that he really is a short, fat, funny looking pretender.

Is Kim really the good guy in your view of this?

Is the "cop"(though we all know what draft dodger Donnie thinks about putting his own hide at risk) crying because the bad guy called him "old"?

Is the "cop" actively advocating the "police force" have closer ties with the Russian Mob?

In my read of the situation, you are wrong, probably intentionally, on both points.

In this case, the "cop", is trying to keep the idiot with the big gun from capriciously killing others.
