What is it called if you're a liberal who's a centrist in terms of authoritarian and libertarian?
 
How about you don't seek labels and boxes to identify yourself in and understand that Political beliefs can be nuanced, complex and unique to individuals

In child psychology, they describe various parenting styles. On the one hand, you have the permissive parents. On the other hand, you have your authoritarian parents- The strict disciplinary types. Both of these parenting styles are supposed to be bad, And lead to undesirable outcomes. They describe a third style called authoritative, which is supposed to be the best kind. These are parents who set high expectations and have strong discipline, but are not draconian. I forget the exact definitions of how they define This third type, but supposedly it leads to the best results: well disciplined kids who do not have all sorts of complexes. Google this.

I think this may have applications to governing styles as well, although that’s just my personal conjecture. I do not know if this has been looked at scientifically or systematically yet. It makes sense that it would. This would probably be a good question for a psychology graduate student to look at, maybe along with a political science graduate student.
