Trump TWEET of the DAY

USPS is terrible. I hate when my Amazon packages come through the chaos that is the USPS. Their cheap rates are their only selling point.

There have been so many complaints that I suspect Amazon is considering dropping them. I doubt they have much leverage.

And is Trump giving an honest assessment or is this part of his feud with Bezos, a real billionaire who could buy and sell Trump like a cheap hooker, who owns WaPo? We all know the answer.

The U.S. Postal Service, which has suffered through years of financial trouble, recorded a net loss of $5.6 billion for fiscal 2016 despite an increase in revenue.

The Postal Service had $610 million in so-called controllable income for the year, down from $1.2 billion in 2015.

Controllable income, which takes into account operational expenses including compensation and benefits, excludes the $5.8 billion payment mandated by the government to prefund the agency's retirement benefits.

Excluding the obligation, the Postal Service would have recorded net income of about $200 million in 2016

The postal service only has financial losses due to congress stealing their saved money, and requiring the Postal Service to prefund future retirement costs. If I remember right, 70 years worth in 10 years.

No other government agency does this, and all would be in the same boat if required to.

What it really is, is congress is using it as a cash cow. Siphoning all income they can off of it.

Yep, so when government creates a problem....the only solution is more government.

Little Adam Schiff, who is desperate to run for higher office, is one of the biggest liars and leakers in Washington, right up there with Comey, Warner, Brennan and Clapper! Adam leaves closed committee hearings to illegally leak confidential information. Must be stopped!

Yes, but not many of you can beat a 5th grader...

Not from today, but still...

A lot of people have hidden native American ancestry. Some of them are blond and blue eyed. My husband's family is one such case. They told the kids that they were all from Scotland except for a grandmother who was French Canadian but for some reason they couldn't find out anything more about her. An elderly uncle from Sioux St Marie showed up and spilled the beans about the grandmother being part Indian. There used to be a stigma attached to that so it was hidden.

In addition, the Cherokee had the tradition of sealing treaties with marriages. That's why so many southern families have the tradition of being part inidan.. and many might be right... although in a very small percentage. Of course, once 5 or 6 generations pass, it is likely that any trace gets removed. In 5 generations, it's 1/64th, or less than 2 percent on average..
