Facebook, Twitter: Russian actors sought to undermine Trump after election

Not for me or anybody I know. Even my previously Democrat voting daughters saw through Hillary's BS.
I'm sure there are those who are 'afflicted' by anything.
You run with a select group of unusual people.
Or you are mistaken about the impact of ads in your life.
Not enough data available to make an independent judgment.

I notice that you stopped short of saying that advertising etc has no impact on human behavior.

Top lawyers from Facebook and Twitter said Tuesday that Russian-linked posts and advertisements placed on the social networks after Election Day sought to sow doubt about President Donald Trump's victory.

Facebook general counsel Colin Stretch told a Senate Judiciary panel that content generated by a Russian troll farm known as the Internet Research Agency after Nov. 8 centered on “fomenting discord about the validity of [Trump’s] election.” That's a change from Russia's pre-election activity, which was largely centered on trying to denigrate Hillary Clinton, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence said in a January report.

“During the election, they were trying to create discord between Americans, most of it directed against Clinton. After the election you saw Russian-tied groups and organizations trying to undermine President Trump’s legitimacy. Is that what you saw on Facebook?” Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) asked at the hearing.

Oh my...180 degrees. Someone call Mueller

Putin wants to sow discord in the US, and you act as if it's news.

How is it 180 degrees?

They are looking into Russian efforts to interfere in our elections.

It was only pro-Trump/anti-left liars who claimed it was only ever about pro-Trump collusion. It only looks like a 180 shift if you listened to the liars and the conservative media that taught them how to lie so well.

If you paid attention to reality, it would sound like more evidence of Russian attempts to interfere in our elections.

I'm saying nothing that the Russians supposedly put out was outside the limits of what we would normally see here on social media. Would some of it make people sad, angry, happy, moody, IYes but, we already knew we were either voting for Trump or Cruz [myself] and nothing was going to change that.

Nothing to do with Russian meddling.

The George P guilty plea had every thing to do with Russian meddling. Are you just posting the same messages under different ID's.

It's not new. It's been happening for the entire history of this nation.

Everyone on your side already believes Trump is guilty of well, pretty much everything.

Why would the Russian spend time and money after the election if that were true?

Mueller is investigation collusion...not the fact that they tried to influence the election for Trump.

What's telling is their main goal is to cause division and turmoil and they determined that getting Trump elected met those goals.

Maybe Putin just doesn't like Hillary, and it was irrelevant who won the Republican Primary.

Or much of what you believed was true is now not and you are in the process of back-tracking.

Most likely.

Why? They supposedly control her through donations to the Clinton fund and she greenlights the mass movement of US strategic assets to Russia.
They should love her :/

Sure, as Sec State, but as President..........maybe not.

I see we agree on Putin sowing discord, yet I am astonished to find you think you know what I believe after a couple posts.

Though it would be a nice parlor-trick and certainly worth bragging about, I seriously doubt you can read my mind.

Am I wrong?

Am I wrong?

We can always put it to the test:

What am I thinking right now? And no cheating.

I'm thinking the notion you can read my mind is both quite funny and mildly disconcerting.

Is that a denial?

If you look at the list of lawyers, etc. you will see my point. I'd be willing to bet none of them voted for Trump.
ftsoa, say you're right that none of them voted for Trump.

Voting for someone other than Trump is evidence of what exactly?
Voting for someone other than Trump is evidence they will forge evidence?
Voting for someone other than Trump is evidence they will bring false charges?

What is it about the folks who did not vote for Trump that makes them a problem as you imply?

Is it that only Trump voters are capable of investigating objectively?
