Newly unsealed court documents tie Manafort, Gates to Russia

Taking away the passports really should be enough.....this is hammering because we do so love our sadism.

Are you freaking kidding I have not had a passport in decades and I don't have thw financial means these guys do but I could disappear in this country or leave this country without a problem.

With the Russian mob connections these guys have they could have a sub pick them up. After all mission accomplished, time for extraction...

There are six more indictments awaiting being unsealed...How many more to fall?

After all is said and done, there will be well more than 6 people who will be waiting for indictment. What a disaster to look forward to.

The court released other documents regarding the indictments against Manafort & Gates, tonight 10/31/2017.

Here is the video from Rachel Maddow with court documents in hand, and she explains it well. It's a 14 minute video, worth watching.
Newly unsealed court documents tie Manafort, Gates to Russia | MSNBC

Specifically-their flight risk and foreign connections. In this we find out that they're monitoring Paul Manafort's movements with a electronic device possibly an ankle bracelet, and she goes into Foreign bank accounts & Russian connections. Specifically stated in the document Manafort is a flight risk because he and Gates have received millions of dollars from Russian Oligarchs. So the court ordered that they were a flight risk, they had to give up their passports, and their movements are restricted to home, church, emergency medical and to see their attorney's.

Ties them to Russia in what way? Are these illegal ties to Russia? And, more importantly, what does this have to do with alleged "Trump/Russia collusion"?

Yip and I'm betting one of those names has a capital T...

The right has been saying this is all a nothingburger from the start.
And "the right" all agree on every point?
Or are they actually individual human beings?

If the poster you're talking to didn't actually say those things, you're just roughing up your own strawman.

imho
ymmv

Lets speculate on just who those 6 will be, and for sure Jr. is one of them. Could it also include Sessions or Bannon?

If you have to ask that you have not been paying attention.

Jr for sure he not only admitted to collaboration but he turned over the evidence to prove it.

I don't know how anyone can continue to defend this administration.

You couldn't care less about any indictments or corruption, so long as you get your "white lives matters" .

I'm not white. Now, care to answer my questions?

BTW, I subscribe to the philosophy that EVERY LIFE MATTERS.

I dont have any interest in that question, the one I am on is "Can he leave the US now that he has turned in his American passports?" If the answer is no then placing him in house arrest is abuse.

Of course you don't have ant interest in why someone has three (3) DIFFERENT numbered USofA passports because that shows intent to evade.

Now how naïve does a Trump supporter have to be that only Jason Bourne has multiple passports from different nations???

I have held a US passport for decades now, they have to be renewed every decade- the process isn't easy to deceive by just your average citizen. To obtain three (3) different numbered passports takes real effort, not difficult to believe Manafort couldn't have other passports from other nations curtesy of his Roosian cronies.

Being 'confined' to a mansion, able to still travel to lawyers and any 'medical' appointments sure beats the snot out of County Lock-up... :peace

Of course your aren't my dear.

I'm certainly not "your dear". Why is it libs cannot fathom that not every Hispanic American is a Marxist POS?

Now, quit deflecting and answer my questions.

I'm beginning to believe they are either in Russia or are a cell here in the US.

I bet trump won't unleash homeland security on them if they are here...

I have no interest in posting to a pathetic liar like you. now get lost, my dear.

Where does this idea keep coming from?
Which unscrupulous public **** is promoting this error?

The second sentence of the first paragraph of the introduction of the indictment says that the money laundering was ongoing "at least through 2016"

AFAICT, through 2016 is not "years before the campaign"
Does your mileage vary on how long ago 2016 was?
Does you mileage vary on what the indictment says?

Where does this inaccurate idea keep coming from?
Some skeezy public figure?

Or is there an actual basis for thinking that the indictment says that the money laundering stopped "years before the campaign"?

The factual basis comes from the indictment itself, which states:

Between at least 2006 and 2015 Manafort and Gates acted as unregistered agents of the Government of Ukraine. Manafort and Gates generated tens of millions of dollars in income as a result of their Ukraine work. In order to hide Ukraine payments from United States authorities from approximately 2006 through at least 2016 Manafort and Gates laundered the money through scores of United States and foreign corporations, partnerships, and bank accounts.

So, the work was done between 2006 and 2015. The money laundering to "clean" the funds (i.e. hide them via a chain of transactions to appear as if the sources were legal loans etc.) took place between 2006 and 2016.

The accompanying breakdown of transactions shows most took place by 2014. The money laundering to clean their personal earnings continued through 2016. They lied about operating as agents of foreign contacts, all of which according to the indictments occurred between 2006 and 2015.

Thus ALL of those operations with the government of Ukraine took place before Manafort got involved in the campaign. NONE of it points to Russian collusion with the Trump campaign.

Clear enough now?

Does he have other passports the government isn't aware of?

See your problem with that spin is that much of that laundered money ran through trump and company.

To pretend that the two issues are separate is incredibly desperate at best.

In other words, you have no idea what the answers to my questions are. Got it.

Can you show specifically where that is spelled out in the indictment? Quote directly from the document please.
