The State Department on Friday listed 39 Russian companies and government organizations tied to the defense and intelligence sectors, and warned that anyone in the United States or elsewhere doing significant business with them could be hit with sanctions starting early next year.

The list was a belated response to legislation, which President Trump reluctantly signed in August, giving him until Oct. 1 to produce a roster of targets for new sanctions.

So the list comes from Tillerson the guy who thinks Trump is a moron. So basically, Trump had no choice but to sign the bill and Tillerson came up with the list of targets. I can't give Trump any credit here considering Tillerson probably does whatever he wants to.

On a side note, don't you find it interesting that Trump doesn't get along with his AG or Secretary of State?

I was looking to verify your claim that Trump hadn't started enforcing Russia sanctions. I was surprised when I found that, it must have gotten buried by other news.
It is interesting that Tillerson is doing this, without any apparent support from the President.

FYI- just had killer tamales from the woman with a cart on 21st and Damen. Highly recommend.

41 pages of transcript and the rest is just stuff.

The transcript does show that the government cut Papadopolous a deal and dropped a significant charge.

Here's a spoiler, the charge they dropped was not collusion or conspiracy or treason or covering up for the campaign or any such thing.

Well...there's actually no law that says they can't talk to the Russians to get dirt on people. The only actual law he seemed to have violated is lying about it.

Clinton did do it. You liberals just wont allow yourselves to admit it. That dossier is Russian dirt on Trump paid for by the Hillary camp. Trumps team seemed willing and interested in dirt from Russia on Hillary. Hillary actually paid for some.

Now you go ahead and move on and pretend none of that was ever said.

The summer before the last election I was naïve enough to believe what I now know to be deep state scumbags like the Clintons were subject to the same laws as everyone else. Although I am "An innocent until proven guilty kind of guy" there is no doubt in my mind that this POS has done things 10 times worse that anything they accused Trump of. I doubt they will ever be brought to justice. But I believe Hillary will die more miserable than any inmate doing a life sentence, and maybe there is some justice in that.

I think the Podesta name was put out there to cover for Mueller, only because recently FBI files were released showing the Russians were trying to bribe to get influence over US uranium and Muller covered it up it.

Ah, Harrison Park. Not aware of her, but I used to go to Bishop's Chilli on 18th & Damen, right across from the park. That was a (very) long time ago. No really good chilli parlors around, that I know of anymore. With the gentrification of Pilsen, I've already seen some signs of improvements in Harrison Park too. I think the neighborhood is only going to get better.

As to tamales, I used to have an out-the-back-door connect for them on 47th St., but I just don't go to that neighborhood much anymore. I once in a while get hot links from the Leon's in Brighton on Archer, just a couple blocks before 47th St.

But I've got something (relatively new) for you, my friend! If you like hot links, you've got to try Uncle J's BBQ! Get 'em with the hot sauce. None better! On 47th & Vincennes. Decent enough neighborhood, whether coming from LSD or The Ryan.

Never heard of Leon's. Might just stop in sometime though.

And the tamales I'm talking about are the authentic Mexican ones... not those odd southern tamales with corn meal or whatever it is that you see around hot dog places.

As you look at the characters in this sordid play, everyone of them has some relationship with the Russians, but Clinton does not. So why is she guilty of anything- same with Podesta.
What crimes did Mueller commit?

Yeah, I hear ya'.

The hot dog stand variety are called "Tom Tom", and I believe are still made at 48th & Washtenaw. Back in the day before the huge Mexican migration, they were the only game in town. They're more American manufactured fast food, than Latino, that's for sure!
