Give the man points for honesty, I think so far he might be the only one who has been able to manage it.

Honesty is so much out of style now everywhere one looks, this is newish and this is bad.

The first step is acknowledging a problem exists instead of just saying "that's the way it is". Yeah he turned a blind eye but so did many more people, many of whom have more power to stop this than he did. He's stepping forward now. Better late than never.

What's worse? Tarantino simply being aware that Weinstein was a pervert or millions of Trump supporters electing a known sexual predator to the presidency? Weinstein is an incredibly scummy human being, but at a minimum the women he harassed were adults. Trump intentionally and regularly walked in on children changing at the beauty contests he hosted.

I'll agree with you Hawkeye. Trump and his cabinet of elites really suck. If you guys are really against sexual harassment in all forms and aren't just playing the partisan game, now would be the time to condemn him, not feign ignorance.

I am not aware that Trump Treats women poorly. In fact word on the street is that Women love the Trump Treatment generally.

I have never cared much about this Tarantino fella, I have found him over rated and I dont generally like his work, but right now I would like to give him an award.

I am not pleased with how prudish we have become about the human body again, I never expected to see this during my lifetime.

Trump should have given a three minute warning, If he did not then shame on him but I cant get worked up about this unless he touched someone, and I doubt very much that he did.

Ya, the diversion is over for me, however this meme of trying to equate how these two men treat women is complete fantasy based upon what I know. This false equivalence needs to be pointed out, and a lot of the time I consider it to be a form of lying because the one talking knows better.

You're absolutely right, there is no equivalence. Trump sexually harassing women and walking in on children changing is astronomically worse than Tarantino knowing Weinstein was a pervert,yet you can only condemn the latter while claiming looking at naked children less than 3 minutes doesn't count. Pretty disgusting and I think the FBI should check your computer.

I’m pleasantly surprised that he openly admitted to something we’re all guilty of to some extent. I’d also be surprised if any of us haven’t been aware of some kind of bad behaviour or practices but haven’t tried to do anything about them because it’s difficult, embarrassing or risky. I know I have, mostly around data protection and security practices in the IT field.

I think there’s a question as to what third parties could do, even if they directly witnessed the behaviour. Most of what we’re talking about, while unquestionably wrong, isn’t illegal or isn’t “illegal enough” for someone else reporting it to the authorities would actually get anywhere (especially if the victims chose not to make a complaint). Clearly there are accusations (though only accusations at this stage) of much more serious incidents but I don’t think they’re the ones that anyone else was aware of and they wouldn’t necessarily assume that line being crossed.

The public has known for a long time too. “The Casting Couch” is a long established joke but it has only been that; a joke. There could have easily been a public outcry about that kind of behaviour but we all decided it wasn’t worth our effort.
 
30 Rock was cracking jokes at Weinstein’s proclivities almost a decade ago.
