Why did Trump lie? Stick to the subject: Trump lied.
:cuckoo:
You've run out of credibility on this one.
Why did Trump lie? Stick to the subject: Trump lied.
He said he didn't say what she said he said.
Rep. Frederica Wilson told CNN Tuesday evening that Trump told the widow that her husband "knew what he signed up for, but I guess it still hurt."
Cowanda Jones-Johnson, a family member who raised Johnson, told CNN Wednesday that Wilson's account of the call between Trump and Johnson's widow, Myeshia, was "very accurate."
"He was doing exactly what he wanted to do when he was killed. He knew what he was getting into by joining that 1%. He knew what the possibilities were because we were at war," Kelly said, channeling Dunford's words to him upon the death of Kelly's son. "And when he died he was surrounded by the best men on this earth, his friends. That's what the President tried to say to the four families the other day."
Democrat Congresswoman totally fabricated what I said to the wife of a soldier who died in action (and I have proof). Sad!
Trump's tweet:
It all jives quite coherently but Trump's tweet is totally inconsistent with everything that has been said. He lied.
Trumpanzies are so deep in their cult that no amount of facts or reason will sway them. That is why they must be ridiculed with great force.
You left out the second part of the congress womans quote for some reason. Why is that?
Trump said he didn't say that though...
Trump said he didn't say that though...
Of course.:roll:Unravelling best describes the Democrats these days.
Whats so remarkable about this quote is that it demonstrates how obsessed conservatives are with culture wars to the extent they believe the NFL is somehow connected to the DNC; I hate football and I couldn't care less about it.. It's also interesting how you ignore the plethora of sex scandals that came out of FOX over the past year: Ailes, O'Reilly, Payne, Shine, Bolling, etc. But hey, it's only a story when it involves liberals, right? The good news is that FOX and right-wing radio have their rating plummeting into the gutter, and Trumps approval rating is at historical lows.. You might want to check the pulse of your own camp before getting cocky, mmmkay? From the Weinstein scandal exposing Hollywood as a bunch of hypocrites and enablers, to the NYTs burrying a story back in 2004 about Weinstein, to NBCs attempt to bury a story about Weisntein to falling NFL ratings and attendance
1)The donations were made years after the stakeholder had sold his shares in Uranium One, so it wasn't any sort of bribe. Sorry to **** on your picnic, but that is what you guys would term... a nothing burger.to the latest story on Uranium one and 145 million dollars in donations to the Clinton foundation to someone in the Obama administration using Susan Powers name to make over 250 unmasking request in 2106, the Democrats are really having a tough month
:lamoThe party is a mess. Al Franken in the Sessions hearing did a good job of showing just how screwed up the Democratic party has become since the election
This is great.
So, when Trump denied what Wilson reported he said, which was exactly what Kelly now says he told him to say, Dotard lied.
You can't make this **** up. :lamo
At this point we can just hope Trump Derangement Syndrome gets covered if congress ever swings back around to healthcare.
"the “liberal left is more willing to believe anything about Donald Trump.”
He added, “The left is ready to believe if I said ‘I saw Donald Trump have a tail and horns’ people would be like, ‘I knew it!'”
Lemon responded that he likes “to call it Trump Derangement Syndrome,”
God bless them all in these trying times.
Never in Modern Times have Two Former Presidents so thoroughly taken the trump apocalyptic catastrophe to task.
May our Creator continue to Guide Chief of Staff Kelly and what Few Sane Adults have trump's ear ...
Of course.

2)The pay for play by the Trump gang is explicit and extensive.

Sessions sounded like an Alzheimer patient with his " I do not recall" every other answer. They way he refused to answer any questions about whether the president asked him to obstruct the Russia investigation, thus invoking executive privilege that, had echos of Watergate.
Seriously, everything that comes out of your mouth is just Brietbart talking points and foolishness.
You're right...libs can milk the **** outta anything forever. I mean...how long has it been since the elections?

Oh wow! The republicans are opening ANOTHER partisan Clinton probe, what a surprise! Ever notice how republicans get to investigate democrat scandals, but democrats never get to investigate republican scandals?Actually, the donations were made from both Uranium One and Rosatom to the Clinton foundation before, during and after the deal

Sounds suspicious to me. Bill Clinton met with Putin personally when he went to Russia to give his 500k speech. You think those two talked about their grandchildren ?

And the Senate Judiciary conitee has opened up a probe into this Uranium one deal....

But sure, its a big nothing burger and the Russian collusion tin hattery is the real scandal...:lamo

Oh my, another sore winner.
Ugh, why can't Trump just admit to something and learn from it instead of straight up lying about it. He could have easily said the phone call was hard and maybe things didn't come out how he meant them to and apologize but instead he has to go on defense and completely deny everything. You really can't believe anything this man says.
Gen. Kelly blasted Wilson, and essentially Sgt. Johnson's mother, for being a part of the call that the widow put on speaker. He deemed the call "sacred" in order to deflect the fact that the family was appalled by his tone and instead made it all about him and how he dealt with the very tragic death of his own son. It wasn't about him, 45, or his feelings about the message, but those of the family. He has yet to reflect on why he showed his disgust when 45 called neo-Nazis "very fine people" or why he hid his face when 45 called out "Rocket Man" at the UN. Talk about an empty barrel, including Kelly. I was stunned at his behavior.
We're still waiting for 45 to issue the statement that Defense crafted 15 days ago.
To be fair, Trump is a moron so you have to interpret what he means. He probably meant he didn't say it with the same callousness that the congresswoman heard.
It's really a simple misunderstanding. "He knew what he signed up for" depending on how you interpret it. You can interpret it to mean that he bravely signed up knowing this could happen. Or you could interpret it dismissively. I believe Trump was [probably] trying to console but he's awful at it as we know.
Trump could have simply clarified and maybe called her back instead of turning this into an argument at a funeral. Both Trump and the congresswoman could have handled it better. But only Trump is the president and leader of the country.
Came here to say this, with the addition that Trump doesn't seem to have an empathetic bone in his body, so it's difficult for him to relay a message of condolence.
If he did have the capacity for empathy, he wouldn't have to "guess it hurt" to lose a loved one, he would KNOW it, and have some sort of understanding that it hurts.
