Again you seem to dodge the very specific things I mention.

I get it Vance, we don't see eye to eye. We don't agree on if he's a good president, we don't agree on if Obama was good. But if you make a point about Obama, it would not be a valid response by me to say "well that figures, yall attacked hi for getting mustard on his hamburger!". It has nothing to do with the topic at hand and seems to be nothing more than diversionary. Maybe it just seems that way cause it pisses you off, which I get, but I don't understand the point of a forum if a question only gets answered with appeals to other things thats not even related to this (like puerto rico). Puerto Rico is a side topic that can be debated. But it's not a valid response here in any form. You think I hate Trump cause I drink the koolaid and can't think for myself. That's fine, but if you ask me a straight forward and sincere question in a non-snarky manner, you'd get an honest answer that didn't jump the issue. I can't seem to get that from you.

You are making statements not evidenced by facts. I have on numerous occasions been critical of Trump. Similarly, I have complimented Obama when appropriate. Hell...I have said numerous times here I would love to have Bill Clinton back as president over any of these clowns.

Sorry man...you are trying to force a narrative that doesnt work. This PARTICULAR incident? Its unworthy of all of this and I'm certain you know that.

Well, you're wrong. I think any president who went out and tried to score political points by bragging about how he calls the soldiers families only to find out that he doesn't always and that he doesn't even seem to get the soldiers name and information before calling, lying about what past presidents did, and on top of that says stuff like "he knew what he signed up for but it's still sad" would be roasting over the coals right now. Doesn't matter who it is, and then given his history with the Khans and attacking the quintessential American POW hero for not being a hero, it becomes even more of a story. This didn't just come out of left field. I'm with you that some people, as happens with every president, are attacking him for stupid stuff like the shoes that the first lady decides to wear. We can agree that's stupid. And if anyone argues that he did this to try to hurt the family, I agree with you that they are wrong or at least don't have good reason for their opinion. But to say this is a big nothing story is just silly.

Where did you hear that she never heard this conversation? This is the first time I've heard this claim. She was supposedly with the widow while the call was on speaker. Do you have evidence otherwise or am I not remembering correctly?

Watch the video. Watch the dance she does. She didnt hear all the conversation but she heard that part. She didnt hear the part about "he didnt even know his name" even though it was apparently said several times throughout the 5 minute call..but THATS not what we should be talking about...because apparently she heard the call on speaker phone...but didnt hear the call on speakerphone...not all of it...

Her whole diatribe is a rambling contradiction sprinkled in with hate.
 
I just listened to General Kelly's characterization of the phone call. I think, I hope, I've a little better idea about things. Empathy and sensitivity aren't necessarily areas of strength for the President. Nonetheless, he well could have been doing his best under difficult circumstances, but came up short on word choice. I'm not interested in crucifying or criticizing him for that.

EDIT: I just watched and listened to Rep. Wilson recollecting the call and she seemed, to me at least, disingenuous.
