I don't think this is a lie. I also don't think he was bashing previous Presidents. He was just stating facts about past Presidents and about himself...and these facts have nothing to do with any families.

Where did you get that quote? Here's the part where he mentions Obama, and it's a lie:

"The traditional way if you look at President Obama and other presidents, most of them didn't make calls. A lot of them didn't make calls. I like to call when it's appropriate, when i think I'm able to do it. They have made the ultimate sacrifice so generally I would say that I like to call,"

He was doing great until then, but he just couldn't resist using that moment to trash Obama. Pathetic.

Really? A big difference? Assuming he was told that -- which is hard to believe, as it's similar to his old faithful line, "a lot of peope are saying..." -- a decent human being would have found out before making any such ridiculous claim. Classless.

No one asked him about Obama or anyone else. The worst thing you can do is remark on past predecessor's and not really know what or how they handled things, and then he stated "well he really didn't know"--someone (whomever) told him something.

They really couldn't have found a worse President than Trump if they had gone out on a midnight scavenger hunt in search of one.

Which is why Trump is polling at a 70% disapproval rating. The worst of any President in this nation's history. Frankly, it surprises me that there are still 30% in this country that approve of him.

You need to read a transcript of what he said BEFORE he typically rowed it back with his "I heard it/read it/was told/imagined it schtick. He lied then backtracked, and all to excuse his inaction for TWELVE DAYS before mentioning the dead.
They died on his watch, and he hates admitting failure of any kind, so he thought they betrayed him and were not worth mentioning. Until public opinion got too loud, so his grudging admission was wrapped in blame for other Presidents who were all worse than him....

Even when talking about contacting the families of fallen soldiers, the man can't resist telling us all how great HE is. Pathetic. The icing on the cake of the comment is it was a lie, then he blames others for it. A trifecta of crap.
