African-American unemployment rate falls to 17-year low

What did Trump do to achieve this result?

African-American unemployment rate falls to 17-year low | Fox Business

Trump has done more for blacks and other non-whites than Obama did in eight years.
Can you explain how you think Trump is responsible for this and not just the continuation of a trend that started under Obama?

He is bringing back jobs

Jobs were being added before he took the presidency. What is the big difference that Trump has done to achieve our current results?

Agreed- but for Trump supporters all good began with Trump, and all evil ended with Obama.

Thanks to the Obama economy.

Interesting to note: Obama inherits Bush economy and bailout contribution to deficit, Obama gets blamed even though technically that one was on Bush. (The stimulus of course on Obama).

Trump inherits Obama economy, and ....Trump gets credit?

Rather selective of some people.

Not that either of them had anything to do with specifically hiring of African Americans, that is

Well I know that, but I want to see if anybody has a reason for these things other than "MAGA".

Trump traveled back in time and change the economy. He did the same with the stock market. Obama gets no credit after 8 years. Trump walks in and literally day 1 starts taking credit for a recovery that happened under Obama.

This is a totally transparent argument by Trump supporters. The numbers belong to the Obama Admn and they know it, but it's fun to point it out in a debate.

I hear this nonsense from conservatives a lot. After 8 years of complaining about fake numbers now the numbers are suddenly not only not fake but good.

I'm beginning to accept that politics is emotional and not rational. There are few people with whom you can have a rational political discussion about actually policy. Most people emotionally attached and rationally detached.

Do you think after seeing these charts that the OP will concede that Obama has done a good job over the past 8 years?

Oh I wasn't trying to put any of those remarks on you....or at you. Don't mind me. My brain is scrambled today because reasons.

You are right on. I have been on a few debate sites and they are all the same. Disagreements turn into attacks, not debates. It's hard to find true debaters, but I keep trying.

So the people who were blaming last month's negative jobs report on Trump were wrong, and it's really Obama's fault?

I was under the impression it had alot to do with the trifecta of hurricanes.

I agree with that, but there were some who blamed it on Trump. Just curious if there was consistency on economic metrics.

Personally, unless the President signs legislation or issues EOs, I don't think the economy really cares too much whose butt sits in the oval office.
