Melania Trump gave 50 schools in 50 states a packet of Dr. Seuss books with well wishes in the new school year.
Librarian Liz Soeiro of Cambridgeport Elementary School, however, said thanks but no thanks.
In a letter to the first lady on The Horn Book website, Soeiro explained that the school doesn't need the books.
“Dr. Seuss' illustrations are steeped in racist propaganda, caricatures and harmful stereotypes,” she wrote.

I learned while still a child that not all librarians are wonderful examples of higher intellect. Some are as dumb as a bag of bricks. Like this one.

The donation was rejected for lack of significance. It did not measure up to the library's quality. The remarks about racism were an aside (and true). The librarian presumably dressed up for Seuss Day before knowing about such.


In short, this is fake news being fed to the gullible and race-obsessed "alt-right".

He was always a liberal. Many of his War Department drawings were rejected as too kind to the Japanese.
